Skies are cloudy early on this Thursday morning and there is some light rain falling over parts of the area. Temperatures range from 44 in Clifton down to 36 at High Point. Winds are a little gusty out of the east. The air quality is good with an index of 22.

Today will be cloudy and much cooler as we will have an onshore flow. Some light rain should end this morning.

A warm front will approach the area Friday morning accompanied by some drizzle and possibly some dense fog. The front will move to our north by the afternoon and will be followed by milder air along with partly sunny skies.

Mild over the weekend. There is a chance of showers Saturday afternoon and evening then rain is expected for Easter Sunday as a strong cold front moves through the area.

Generally dry with near or slightly below normal temperatures Monday through Wednesday.

WEDNESDAY – APR 8 – Sunny, highs in the low 50s.

CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR MARCH 2026: RECORDS BEGAN IN 1973.

March’s average temperature was 46.1 which war 5.9 degrees warmer than normal and was the 5th warmest March since my records began. The highest temperature was a remarkable 82 degrees set on the 10th, the lowest was 19 degrees recorded on the 2nd. March’s precipitation totaled 4.28 inches which is near normal for the month. Snowfall was only a trace and was the third March in a row without any measurable snowfall.
