Skies are cloudy early on this Easter Sunday and there is some drizzle and fog in the area. Temperatures range from 40 in Clifton down to 35 at High Point. The winds are light mainly from the northeast. The air quality is good with an index of 27.

A frontal system will be moving through our area today giving us cloudy skies with some early fog and drizzle followed by rain mainly from 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. Rainfall amounts will average between 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch.

Below normal temperatures are expected Monday through Wednesday as high pressure builds into our area. We should stay mainly dry but there will be a low chance of light rain Monday night.

Moderating temperatures towards the end of next week into next weekend and we should stay dry.

TUESDAY – APR 7 – Partly sunny and breezy, highs in the low 50s.

WEDNESDAY – APR 8 – Sunny, highs near 50.

THURSDAY – APR 9 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 50s.

FRIDAY – APR 10 – Mostly sunny, highs in the upper 60s.

SATURDAY – APR 11 – Partly sunny, highs near 70.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Monday morning for southwest winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 5-8 feet.
