Skies are partly cloudy early on this Sunday morning and temperatures range from 69 in Clifton down to 55 at Walpack. Winds are calm or light southwesterly. The air quality is good with an index of 48.

A brisk southwesterly flow will give us a very warm day and gradually more humid. There is a chance of an afternoon shower but most showers and thunderstorms will occur mainly after 8 p.m. A cold front will cross the area around midnight.

Monday and Tuesday will enjoy very pleasant mid June weather with plenty of sunshine both days along with seasonably warm temperatures and low humidity as high pressure builds into the area.

Gradually warmer and more humid air will move into our area likely giving us showers mainly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday with a good chance of showers and thunderstorms on Thursday.

Still a linger shower on Friday then it will become cooler and less humid.

Next weekend looks to pleasant with sunshine both days along with comfortable temperatures and humidity.

WEDNESDAY – JUNE 17 – Mostly cloudy with showers likely mainly after 2 p.m., highs near 80.

THURSDAY – JUNE 18 – Partly sunny, warmer and more humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, highs in the upper 80s.

FRIDAY – JUNE 19 – Partly sunny with a chance of a lingering shower, highs in the low 80s.

SATURDAY – JUNE 20 – Sunny, highs in the low 80s.

MARINE FORECAST: A small craft advisory will be in effect from 1 p.m. this afternoon through midnight tonight for southerly winds gusting to 25 knots, seas 3-5 feet. Belmar’s ocean temperature is 69 degrees.
