Sunshine returns today and it will be quite warm and less humid! Sunny and comfortably warm Sunday and Monday!


SATURDAY  AUGUST 19, 2017  5:37 A.M.

We have partly cloudy skies early on this Saturday morning and temperatures range from the low 70s in the Clifton area to the mid 60s further inland, it is still muggy with dew points around 70, there is also some  patchy fog in some areas mostly inland.

A cold front will cross the area this morning with less humid air following the front, skies will become mostly sunny and it will be quite warm with temperatures approaching the 90 degree mark.

Mostly sunny and comfortably warm Sunday and Monday as high pressure builds into the area.

Tuesday will be the hottest day of the week ahead of a cold front that may touch off a shower at night.

The front will give us a continued chance of showers on Wednesday.

Much cooler and dry air for Thursday and Friday.

TODAY – AUG 19 – Mostly sunny and becoming less humid, high near 90.

TONIGHT – Partly cloudy, low in the upper 60s.

SUNDAY – AUG 20 – Sunny, high in the upper 80s.

MONDAY – AUG 21 – Sunny, high in the upper 80s.

TUESDAY – AUG 22 – Mostly sunny, hot and humid, high in the low 90s.  Chance of showers and thunderstorms at night.

WEDNESDAY – AUG 23 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the mid 80s.

THURSDAY – AUG 24 – Sunny and much less humid, high near 80.

FRIDAY – AUG 25 – Mostly sunny, high near 80.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – West-southwest winds to 6 knots, seas 2-3 feet.  Belmar’s ocean temperature is 73 degrees.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Sunday through the day on Tuesday; near advisory level conditions Tuesday night into Wednesday.
