Pleasant spring weather to continue! Red Flag Warning!


Today will become mostly sunny and despite a cold front coming through temperatures will still rise to near 70 today. Winds will gust near 25MPH and with very dry air there is a threat of brush fires, because of this the National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning for our area.

Tonight will be cooler with lows by morning falling into the 30s..

Thursday looks sunny with highs about 10 degrees cooler, near 60 degrees..

Friday through Sunday the dry and pleasant conditions will continue with temps in the 50s on Friday and into the 60s by Sunday.

Long range forecast for next week, cooler and with a better chance or clouds and showers..

Very pleasant early spring weather through Easter!


We are going to have a nice stretch of weather through Sunday with no rain until early next week at the earliest..

Today will feature plenty of sunshine and it will be milder in the afternoon with highs in the mid-upper 60s, the winds will finally die down especially later i the day.

Wednesday a cold front will come through, breezy again but temperatures will be mild rising close to 70 degrees.

Thursday and Friday will be cooler but still dry, highs on Thursday in the mid-upper 50s and into the low 60s on Friday.

The weekend looks terrific with milder temperatures in the mid-upper 60s and plenty of sunshine…

The sun returns in time for the “work” week!


After a cloudy, damp and chilly weekend the sun is coming out this Monday morning! Today will be windy but dry and highs in the mid-upper 50s.

Tonight will be cool with some inland areas going down to around 30 degrees.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with milder temperatures rising to the low 60s after a chilly start, it will still be windy.

Overnight Tuesday is the only chance of rain for the week and it is only a 20% chance, low in the 40s..

Clearing Wednesday but still breezy, highs again in the low 60s..

Thursday and Friday look pleasant with sunny days and clear nights, highs in the upper 50s.

Easter weekend looks quite pleasant at this time with highs on Saturday in the low 60s warming up on Easter Sunday to the upper 60s..

Hello April and we are going to have some April showers!


March 2012 at Central Park was the 2nd warmest and 4th driest, their records go back to 1869! In fact if it was not so cold and it didn’t rain they would have broken  both records.
However their combination of Feb-Mar 2012 was by far the warmest such period smashing the previous record by 3 degrees. That is the reason all the flowers and trees are blooming so early.

Today will be mostly cloudy but it will be milder with highs in the upper 50s. Showers are likely from about 5PM-11PM tonight.

Monday will be mostly sunny with highs in the 50s

Tuesday will be mild with highs in the 60s. Slight chance of a shower in the evening

Wednesday through Friday look quite nice with no rain and highs mainly in the upper 50s, near normal for this time of year..

No sunrise seen this morning!!


Today is the first day of my retirement and I was looking forward to seeing my first sunrise today but there many more nice sunrises to happen in the very near future…
Overnight we had some heavier rain and even some sleet in some areas.

Today will be damp and chilly with occasional light rain or drizzle most of the day, highs in the 40s.. .

Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy not as cool with highs in the 50s however chance of more showers in the afternoon and evening…

Monday looks nice with highs in the low 60s, bit breezy however..

Tuesday will start off nice but more showers again in the late afternoon and into early Wednesday morning, highs again in the low 60s.

Later Wednesday through the rest of the week looks good with plenty of sun and with temperatures seasonable for the first week of April with highs in the upper 50s..
