Skies are partly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and tempertures are remarkably mild ranging from the upper 60s in the Clifton area to the upper 50s further inland, these temperatures are even above the normal highs for this time of year.

High pressure off the coast will continue to bring warm air into the area, a weak cold front will come through dry this afternoon, temperatures once again should reach the 80s and break some more record highs.   If the temperature reaches 80 degrees or above at New York’s Central Park it will be the first time on record that they have had 3 straight days in the 80s after October 15th and their records go back to 1869.

The front that will cross the area today will then return north as a warm front causing cloudy skies with periods of rain starting near noon on Thursday that will continue on Friday, some of the precipitation may be enhanced if a low pressure over the Bahamas comes close enough before the front moves offshore Friday night.

Much cooler and dry over the weekend as the low pressure moves to the Canadian Maritime region and high pressure builds from the west, it will be windy which will make it feel quite chilly.

Dry weather with  seasonably cool temperatures early next week.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning but there are areas that have patchy fog, temperatures once again are unseasonably mild with readings ranging from the low 60s here in Clifton to the low 50s further inland, winds are calm.  Just a note that last year on this date the low temperature in Clifton was only 31 degrees.

Bermuda high pressure will continue to pump unseasonably warm air into the region today with high temperatures reaching the mid 80s.

A weak cold front will move into the area on Wednesday but we should continue to be very warm however there will be more clouds.

A strong front will be approaching the area on Thursday giving us a chance of showers.  This front along with some moisture from a tropical low now over the Bahamas will give us a chance of rain on Friday, temperatures will be cooler but still above normal.

Much cooler and breezy over the weekend and it should be dry with temperatures actually a bit below normal which will feel chilly after this current warm spell.

Skies are mostly cloudy to overcast over the area and temperatures are much milder than the last several mornings ranging from the low 60s in the Clifton area to the mid 50s further inland, winds are light.

Today we should see considerable cloudiness but despite the clouds the temperatures will approach the 80 degree mark in some areas.

Record breaking heat likely Tuesday and Wednesday as high pressure offshore will pump unseasonably warm air into the region and with more sunshine temperatures will reach the low to mid 80s which is quite unusual for this late in the season.  Looking back on my records which started in 1973 we only reached 80 degrees or more this late in the fall three times,  84 degrees on Oct 22, 1979, 80 degrees on Oct. 18th, 2007 and the latest 80 reading was 82 degrees set on Nov. 1st, 1974.

A front will bring cooler but still above normal temperatures Thursday and Friday with a chance of rain on Friday as the front may combine with a tropical low now in the Bahamas to give us some precipitation.

Dry with more seasonable temperatures for the weekend.

Today we should have a mix of clouds and sunshine with milder temperatures with highs  reaching the low 70s.

Summerlike warmth tomorrow through Wednesday with record highs likely Tuesday and Wednesday as highs will reach the 80s,  nights will be mild with most lows around 60, it also will be a little muggy.

A cold front will cross the area on Thursday and then stall in our area on Friday which may produce some rain Thursday night into Saturday morning along with more seasonably temperatures.

Skies are clear early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are quite cool ranging from around 40 in the Clifton area to some upper 20s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

High pressure will be over us today giving the area sunny skies with temperatures similar to what was recorded yesterday mainly in the 60s.   Not as cool tonight.

The high pressure will move offshore on Sunday with a southwest flow of warmer air as temperatures rise into the low 70s.

A weak front may cause a shower Monday morning then we should see some sunshine with quite mild temperatures.

Record warmth likely Tuesday and Wednesday along with plenty of sunshine and high temperatures reaching the low 80s.

Not as warm on Thursday and a low pressure may develop giving our area some well needed rain Thursday night into Friday.
