Another chilly March morning as temperatures have dipped to around 20 degrees in Clifton to the mid teens further inland with some spots near record cold levels, skies are mostly clear and winds are light.

A cold Arctic high pressure will dominate our weather today and Tuesday and despite plenty of sunshine temperatures will continue to be well below normal, however winds will be lighter than the last couple of days.

Milder on Wednesday as a warm front approaches the area, some showers are possible in the evening.

Thursday will be the mildest day of the week but showers are likely, temperatures are expected to climb into the 60s.

A cold front will cross the area late Thursday night and Friday will be cooler and dry.

At this time the weekend looks dry and again with temperatures well below normal for the end of March, the front with low pressure along it that may of given us some snow or rain now appears will be well south and east of the area.

Skies are mostly clear early this morning and temperatures range from the low 30s in the Clifton area to some 20s in far northwest New Jersey, winds are from the northwest around 10 mph.

A cold front came through our area overnight and today will be chilly with highs only reaching the 40 degree mark and with winds gusting to 20 mph it will fell much cooler despite some sunshine.

Tonight will be quite chilly with clear skies low temperatures will fall to around 20 here in Clifton to the teens inland.

Continued chilly on Monday and Tuesday with continued mostly fair skies.

Temperature get closer to normal on Wednesday and even above normal on Thursday but showers are likely mainly Wednesday night into Thursday.

Temperatures fall to below normal readings once again Friday through next weekend, also there will be a front to our south that needs to be watched as some computer models have precipitation in the form of rain or snow reaching our area so stay tuned.

Skies are cloudy at 6 a.m. and there is still some flurries or light freezing drizzle in spots, temperatures are ranging from the upper 20s here in Clifton to the mid 20s further inland, winds are light.  We received 3.5 inches of snow from yesterday’s storm.

Today we will have mostly cloudy skies and temperatures should reach the upper 40s which will help melt some of the snow that fell yesterday.

Another cold front will come through the area tonight bringing back well below normal air into the area, temperatures on Sunday and Monday will only reach 40 degrees despite plenty of sunshine.

Dry and slightly less cold on Tuesday.

Milder weather for Wednesday and Thursday but there will be a chance of showers Wednesday night and Thursday.

Cooler than normal again on Friday.

Looking at the longer range it appears that the area will continue to average colder than normal through the first week of April and in this pattern there is still a chance of winter precipitation so don’t put those snow shovels away just yet.

Today snow will begin around noon and continue into this evening, the heaviest snow will fall between 2 and 8 p.m., expect 3-6 inches of accumulations, most of the accumulation will be on colder surfaces.

On Saturday skies will be partly sunny and along with temperatures in the upper 40s will help melt most of the snow that will fall today.

Colder than normal temperature can be expected Sunday through Tuesday along with dry conditions.

Milder Wednesday and Thursday and there may be some showers Wednesday night into Thursday as a cold front moves into the area.

Another chilly late winter morning as temperatures range from the mid 20s here in Clifton at 6:00 a.m. to the teens further inland, skies are clear and the winds are light.

Today will be chilly once again but with much less wind and the stronger March sun will make it feel more comfortable than the last two days but high temperatures will only reach the low 40s which is about 10 degrees below normal for this time of year.

A low pressure system will move from the southeast states to off our coast on Friday, snow will begin around 9 a.m and continue into the evening, computer guidance as come in colder with more precipitation so we can expect around 4-6 inches of the white stuff mainly on colder surfaces, it will be hard to accumulate on the roads during the day but road conditions may become slippery in the evening.

We will have clearing on Saturday with temperatures closer to normal and the stronger March sun will help melt most of the snow away.

Dry Sunday into the middle of next week but temperatures will average well below normal.
