Skies are cloudy early on this Thursday morning and there is some light rain falling over much of the area. Temperatures are mostly in the mid-upper 60s. The winds are light from the south-southwest. The air quality is good with an index of 12.

A warm front is causing mainly light rain that should end by 8 a.m. After the warm frontal passage it will become partly sunny, warm and very humid with dew points rising to the low 70s. A cold front coming through the area tonight will give us a chance of a late day and evening shower and thunderstorm.

Friday will be warm and becoming gradually less humid. A weak disturbance along the front to our south will give us a chance of an afternoon shower and thunderstorm.

Canadian high pressure will then give us a very nice Labor Day weekend with plenty of sunshine each day along with comfortably warm temperatures and much lower humidity.

The dry weather will continue Tuesday and Wednesday with seasonably warm temperatures and only a light increase in humidity.
