The storm that gave us the wind yesterday is moving further away off the Nova Scotia coast as high pressure builds from the Midwest. Winds will gradually diminish today and with plenty of sunshine temperatures will be a few degrees higher than yesterday.

Dry and milder Tuesday and Wednesday with plenty of sunshine both days as the high pressure builds closer to our area.

High pressure will then settle off the southeast coast and a west-southwest flow of possible record breaking warmth Thursday through Saturday. Skies will continue to be mostly clear.

A weak front may cause a shower mainly Sunday evening, temperatures with more clouds should be a little cooler.

The strong low pressure that gave us the rain and wind is off the Canadian Maritimes as high pressure builds from the west. The pressure gradient between these systems will cause another windy day today with winds gusting 30-35 mph. Skies will be mostly cloudy and there is a slight chance of sprinkles inland.

As high pressure builds over the area on Monday it will cause less wind and more sunshine along with slightly milder temperatures. There is a chance of frost mainly further inland Monday night.

An extended period of dry weather the rest of the week with a warming trend with highs by the end of the week will be well up into the 70s.

Low pressure just off our coast will rapidly intensify as it moves to off the New England coast today. Showers from this system should end by noontime followed by a strong northwest flow of cooler and much drier air this afternoon. Wind gusts to 35 mph are possible so there will be plenty of blowing leaves around. We may see some sunshine by late this afternoon.

Sunday will be a mostly cloudy, breezy and cool day, there is a slight chance of some afternoon showers mainly inland.

A period of nice fall weather can be expected much if not all of next week with plenty of sunshine each day. The temperatures will start off cool with even some frost possible Monday night mainly inland, then rise to above normal Tuesday through Friday.
