A frontal system in our area will give us showers and thunderstorms on Friday along with high humidity as dew points rise to near 70.

CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR JULY 2023

July’s average temperature was 78.0 degrees making this the 8th warmest July since 1973. The highest temperature was 94 degrees set on the 5th with the lowest temperatures recorded was 61 degrees on the 31st. Precipitation was near normal with 4.33″, however many places around the area had much more rainfall especially over the Hudson Valley.

High pressure building in from the northwest will give us very pleasant early August weather both today and tomorrow. There will be plenty of sunshine both days with temperatures a little below normal. The humidity with be low with dew points in the comfortable low 50s.

A warm front will approach the area on Thursday; most of the day will be dry but there will be a chance of showers later at night. High temperatures will still be slightly below normal but the humidity will be somewhat higher.

The frontal system will be over the area on Friday which will likely produce showers and thunderstorms along with high humidity as dew points reach the 70 degree mark.

At this point the weekend’s weather looks dry with near seasonable temperatures along with lower humidity.

Another frontal system may give us a shower on Monday.

Mainly dry and seasonably cool weather with continued low humidity Monday through Wednesday, although there is a slight chance of a shower on Monday.
