A weak front to our east will give us a mostly cloudy day, but it will be a little muggy with dew points in the upper 60s. There is a 20% chance of a shower during the day.

A cold front approaching from the west will likely give us showers and possibly some thunderstorms tonight into Wednesday morning, some showers will be heavy at times. We should have clearing by Wednesday afternoon, temperatures will be warm but the humidity will drop by late in the day.

High pressure will build into the region for Thursday and Friday with cool temperatures and low humidity.

The Labor Day weekend will be very nice with plenty of sunshine all 3 days. Highs will be near normal on Saturday and be above normal Sunday and on Labor Day.

At this point much of next week will be quite warm to hot.

High pressure to our north will give us an easterly flow of air. With more clouds today and the onshore wind the high temperature will be a few degrees lower than yesterday but with high humidity as dew points rise to the upper 60s. Some showers are possible well after midnight tonight.

A warm front offshore will likely give us showers Tuesday into Wednesday along with high humidity. A cold front will cross the area late in the day on Wednesday followed by clearing and becoming less humid. Meanwhile Hurricane Franklin will be well offshore but will cause swells along with dangerous rip currents for our beaches.

Dry and cool Thursday and Friday with most highs only in the mid to upper 70s and overnight lows in the 50s. Tropical Storm Idalia is expected to move well to our south off the Carolina coast but may cause some clouds on Friday.

The Labor day weekend looks quite nice with dry conditions along with warmer temperatures.

NOTE: On this date 12 years ago Hurricane Irene caused massive flooding in our area with 9.27″ of rain falling on August 27th into the 28th.

High pressure now located north of the Great Lakes will build into our area giving us a very pleasant late August day with near seasonable temperatures, low humidity and plenty of sunshine.

The high pressure will move to our north on Monday with an onshore flow, with more clouds high temperatures will be a few degrees lower than today.

A frontal system will give us a chance of showers on Tuesday. Meanwhile Hurricane Franklin will move northeast well off our shores but it should give the coastal areas an increase in swells along with the chance of dangerous rip currents.

High pressure will dominate our weather Wednesday through Friday with seasonably mild temperatures along with low humidity.

At this point the Labor Day weekend looks to be dry and warm with most high temperatures in the middle 80s.

High pressure will give us a nice day on Sunday with cooler temperatures and lower humidity.

Monday should be cool and cloudy as winds become more offshore.

A frontal system will give us a chance of showers Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures near seasonable levels and moderate humidity.

Thursday and Friday look to be dry and cool as high pressure builds over our area.

Sunday will be cooler with lower humidity along with plenty of sunshine.
