High pressure moving off the coast will give us another warm and dry day today but with still haze from the Canadian wildfires.

It now appears that Saturday will be mostly sunny with near seasonable temperatures and hopefully less haze than today.

A slow moving trough of low pressure will likely give us showers and some afternoon and evening thunderstorms, it will become more humid Sunday through Tuesday, also it will be quite warm Monday and again on Tuesday.

High pressure will build into our area Wednesday and Thursday causing dry and hot weather.

Finally a rather nice day today as weak high pressure builds into our area. Skies will be mostly sunny but we should have some haze from the Canadian wildfires. Temperatures will be warm with a little less humidity than the last few days.

Another warm and dry day on Friday as the high pressure moves offshore. Some haze in the morning but should diminish by the late in the afternoon as winds switch to the southeast.

Unsettled weather Saturday through Independence Day as a series of troughs of low pressure moves through the area. There will be a chance of showers each day with possibly some afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Also it will be rather humid.

Wednesday should be mostly sunny and warmer.

Yesterday in Clifton we received 1.25 inches of rainfall but parts of Morris County had 4-6 inches.

Today will be another humid day with a good chance of more showers and thunderstorms as a trough of low pressure is over the area.

The trough will slowly move to our east on Wednesday but still with showers likely although the coverage will be less than today.

Thursday may be the only dry day of the week with less humidity as weak high pressure moves into our area.

More mainly afternoon and evening showers are possible Friday through the weekend as more troughs of low pressure move through the area along with an increase in humidity.
