Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures ranging from the upper teens in Clifton to 5 degrees at Walpack, winds are gusty from the west. Some black ice is possible on untreated surfaces so be careful walking or driving this morning.

An Arctic cold front will cross the area this afternoon with a chance of a snow squall which may cause strong winds and brief heavy snow which may give us a quick dusting. Arctic air behind the front will give us frigid conditions as temperatures will drop to the single digits tonight.

Arctic air will continue on Thursday, low temperatures will drop to near zero tomorrow morning and with wind gusts to 30 mph will make it feel like -20 degrees. A wind chill advisory is in effect. Daytime highs will only rise to the middle teens during the day despite mostly sunny skies.

After a frigid Friday morning temperatures will not be as cold but still below normal during the day.

Milder still over the weekend with highs in the 30s on Saturday and in the 40s on Sunday, dry conditions will prevail.

Mild weather will continue through at least the middle of next week although there will be a chance of rain Monday night into Tuesday.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures range from around 20 in Clifton down to the low teens further inland, winds are mainly calm.

A low pressure system will be moving into the area today, skies will become cloudy and there is a chance of light snow late this morning changing to rain this afternoon, and then back to snow before ending tonight. Accumulations will be 1-2 inches in the Clifton area, but up to 6 inches across northwestern parts of New Jersey as well as the Poconos and the Hudson Valley.

Colder tonight into Wednesday and another front will cross the area in the afternoon with snow showers possible followed by frigid Arctic air.

Thursday will be the coldest day with lows in the single digits and highs only in the teens.

Friday will start off frigid but daytime highs will moderate somewhat.

Temperatures moderate further over the weekend along with dry conditions.

A weak disturbance may give us some light snow late Sunday night changing to rain on Monday.

Warmer than normal temperatures are expected much of next week.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Monday morning and temperatures range from the middle 20s in Clifton down to the middle teens further inland, winds are from the north around 10 mph.

A cold front crossed the area early this morning and we will have colder air today with high temperatures 10-15 degrees lower than yesterday despite mostly sunny skies.

A low pressure system will move into our area on Tuesday, light snow in the morning will change to rain in the afternoon and then back to snow Tuesday night before ending early Wednesday morning. Snowfall amounts of 1-2 inches are possible in the Clifton area, but up to 6 inches across northwestern New Jersey and the Poconos.

Cold Arctic air will follow this system on Wednesday and there is a chance of snow showers.

The coldest day will be on Thursday with daytime highs only in the teens and overnight lows near zero, pretty similar to last Monday’s frigid weather but with a little less wind.

Dry weather will persist Friday through the weekend with a slow moderating trend in temperatures.

Today will be a milder day but it will be breezy as southwest winds gust to 25 mph; a weak warm front will cross the area this morning.

A cold front will cross the area tonight but come through dry. The front will be followed by seasonably cold temperatures on Monday.

A low pressure system will move through our area on Tuesday. Precipitation will start off as snow, changing to rain and then back to snow at night. Accumulations of around an inch is possible in the Clifton area, but up to 3 inches further inland.

Bitterly cold weather Wednesday through Friday but it should remain dry; the coldest day will be on Thursday when lows will be in the single digits and highs only in the teens.

High pressure building into the area will give us a partly sunny day, temperatures will be a little below normal but the winds will be light.

A weak warm front will move through the area tonight and Sunday should be a milder day, most high temperatures will be 10 degrees warmer than today.

Slightly cooler and dry on Monday.

A low pressure system moving into our area will give us some snow changing to rain on Tuesday and then back to snow Tuesday night as colder air moves into the area.

Much colder Arctic air is expected Wednesday through the end of next week, it should be mainly dry but some flurries are possible.
