Dry weather the next several days! Becoming hot by the weekend!


Skies are mostly clear early this Thursday morning and temperatures are cool ranging from the low 60s in the Clifton area to the low to mid 50s further inland, winds are light.

I did go to a nearby park to watch the meteor shower and was disappointed seeing only six faint meteors in the 45 minutes out there, I expected more since the skies were clear and it was at the supposedly peak time.

Today will be a fine summer day with plenty of sunshine, seasonably warm temperatures and low humidity.

Friday will be a couple of degrees warmer but the humidity will remain low and again with mostly sunny skies.

It will become hot and gradually more humid by the weekend and we should remain dry.

The heat will be with us most of next week with the only chance of showers around  Wednesday.  Humidity will be moderate but not oppressive as dew points will be mainly in the 60s.

Sunny and comfortably warm weather returns today! Clear skies tonight will provide excellent viewing of the Perseid Meteor Shower!


We have mainly clear skies early this Wednesday morning and temperatures range from the mid 60s in the Clifton are to the upper 50s further inland, winds are light.

Today will be a very nice summer day with plenty of sunshine and seasonably warm temperatures, dew points will fall into the comfortable 50s.

Tonight we will have mostly clear skies for the viewing of the annual Perseid Meteor Shower, many times when these showers occur in mid-August skies are either cloudy or the moon restricts the viewing, however tonight with the clear skies and with the nearly new moon will give us an excellent chance of seeing these shooting stars, the best time to see them will be from after midnight to before dawn tomorrow morning.

Dry weather will continue tomorrow through early next week with a warming trend as we see temperatures reaching the 90s by Saturday and last through most of next week, humidity will be moderate but not oppressive as dew points will be averaging in the 60s.

Rain heavy at times today! Return to mainly dry and seasonable warm weather tomorrow through the weekend!


It is raining in the area this morning and temperatures are ranging from the upper 60s in the Clifton area to the low 60s further inland, winds are light from the south.

An area of heavy rain will move into the area shortly this morning as a warm front moves through, some of this rainfall may cause some flash flooding, the rain will taper off to occasional showers later this morning.  A cold front will cross the area this evening with a continued chance of showers and thunderstorms, expect around an inch of well needed rain today with some higher amounts.

Improving weather on Wednesday with clearing skies and warm temperatures along with lower humidity.

Mainly dry weather the rest of the week into the weekend with the only chance of rain will be on Saturday afternoon and evening as a weak cold front moves through.  Temperatures will be near normal Wednesday and Thursday with low humidity gradually becoming above normal by Friday into the weekend with higher humidity.

A mainly dry Monday! Rain late tonight into Tuesday! Dry weather Wednesday through the weekend with a warming trend!


Skies are mostly clear early this Monday morning and temperatures are ranging from the mid 60s here in Clifton to the upper 50s inland, winds are nearly calm.

Today we should remain dry along with partly sunny skies, there will be an increase in clouds by late this afternoon, with the clouds and a southeast wind temperatures will be a couple of degrees cooler than on Sunday.

Showers and thunderstorms will move in mainly after midnight and continue into Tuesday evening, it will be more humid and rain may be heavy at times,  amounts will average between an inch and an inch and a half of much needed rainfall.

Dry weather should persist Wednesday through the weekend, humidity levels will start off low but gradually increase by the weekend along with warmer temperatures.

Comfortably warm weather today into most of Monday! Widespread rain and humid on Tuesday!


Skies are mostly clear early this Sunday morning and temperatures range from the low 60s in the Clifton area to the mid 50s in the cooler suburbs, winds are light.

Today will be another warm day with mostly sunny skies, humidity will remain low with dew points in the upper 50s.

Increasing clouds on Monday as a warm front approaches the area, the day should be dry but shower chances will increase by evening.

Tuesday will have rain with some thunderstorms, look for a good soaking of an inch or two of well needed rainfall.

A return to warm and comfortable dry weather Wednesday though the rest of the week, humidity may slowly rise by the weekend.

Looking further ahead it now appears that we will see more in the way of the typical August dog day weather with quite warm temperatures and high humidity most of next week.
