Skies are cloudy early on this Saturday morning and some light showers are falling in parts of the area. Temperatures are unseasonably mild with readings ranging from 54 in Clifton down to 45 at High Point. Winds are mainly calm. The air quality is moderate with an index of 62.

A cold front is moving through the area and will be offshore later this morning. Skies will clear by late morning and it will be breezy with some wind gusts to 25 mph from the northwest. Temperatures will be steady or slight fall throughout the day.

High pressure will give us a sunny day with seasonable temperatures on Sunday,; a weak cold front will come through dry at night.

Monday will be cooler but continued dry.

A strong low pressure area will approach the area on Tuesday with rain developing mainly by evening, rain may be heavy at times through Wednesday with 1-2 inches expected.

At this time Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday should be dry, breezy and chilly, however the GFS model has another low pressure moving into the area on Thanksgiving which would give us rain but the other computer models have it remaining dry.

High pressure off the coast will continue to give us a southerly flow of very mild air today with some record high temperatures possible. The record high temperature in Clifton for today is 64 degrees and we should break that record. We should see an increase in clouds and there will be a little more wind today. A cold front will cross the area overnight giving us a chance of light rain.

A northerly flow of cooler air will be with us on Saturday with clearing by the afternoon, early highs in the 50s will drop to the 40s by late in the afternoon.

High pressure will then be in control of our weather Sunday and Monday with dry conditions and seasonably cool temperatures.

A stronger storm will likely give us rain heavy at times mainly from Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon. The rain may begin as a wintery mix well to our north and west. Winds may become quite strong. Rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches likely.

Thanksgiving Day will be dry but quite cool and windy.

High pressure off the coast will give us a light south to southwest flow of milder air today with highs reaching the low to mid 60s. Skies will be mostly sunny.

Mild again on Friday but with some increasing cloudiness as a front approaches from the west.

Some light rain is likely from around midnight to noon on Saturday, rainfall amounts will be less than 1/4″. Some clearing is likely by Saturday afternoon. Temperatures will be not as mild but still a little above normal.

Sunday and Monday will be seasonably cool with mostly sunny skies both days.

A stronger low pressure area will likely give us rain Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday.

At this point Thanksgiving Day looks to be dry, cool and breezy.

NOTE: On this day in 2018 we received over 6 inches of snow most of it during the evening commute which caused massive traffic delays.

Strong high pressure over our area will give us a mostly sunny day with seasonably cool temperatures with much less wind than yesterday.

As the high moves off the coast, a south to southwest flow of milder air will move into the area and temperatures both Thursday and Friday will be in the 60s.

A cold front approaching from the west, along with a coastal low well offshore, will likely give us rain from late Friday night into early Saturday followed by clearing and cooler weather by Saturday afternoon.

High pressure will give our area dry conditions with slightly below normal temperatures Sunday and Monday.

Another frontal system will give us a chance of rain Tuesday night into Wednesday.

At this time Thanksgiving day looks dry and seasonably cool.

High pressure building from the Midwest will give us mostly sunny skies today with cool temperature. Winds will be a little brisk our of the northwest.

As the high pressure moves off the coast a milder southwest flow will cause temperatures to rise into the 60s on Thursday along with sunny skies.

A coastal low along with a cold front approaching from the west will give us a good chance of rain mainly from Friday night into early Saturday.
