Skies are cloudy early on this Tuesday morning and light rain is falling that may be mixed with snow across the higher elevations of Sussex County. Early temperatures range from 36 in Clifton down to 30 at High Point. Winds are from the north around 10 mph.

A weak disturbance along a cold front will cause mainly light rain that should end by 8 a.m. but another weak front will likely cause some more showers this afternoon. It will be cooler today but still slightly above normal with highs mostly in the upper 40s.

Wednesday will start off dry, but another frontal system will cause rain late Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning; some of the rain may be mixed with snow or sleet further inland. Big difference in temperatures on Thursday as a front will be just to our south. Southern New Jersey may have highs in the 70s while our area will struggle to reach the 50 degree mark.

Friday will be dry and seasonably cold but it will be quite breezy.

Still another low pressure area will give us a chance of rain or snow Saturday afternoon and night. Early morning lows on Saturday will be in the teens while highs will be in the 30s.

Mostly cloudy and milder on Sunday.

Mostly sunny and seasonably mild on Monday.

Today we will have considerable cloudiness ahead of a weak cold front that will come through mainly dry tonight. Highs will be well up into the 50s with light winds.

A weak disturbance will give us a chance of rain on Tuesday that may be mixed with snow across inland areas in the morning.

Wednesday will be cooler as high pressure build from the north. Another low pressure area will give us a chance of rain in the afternoon with rain expected Wednesday night.

Still a chance of rain on Thursday as the frontal system will be in our area, big difference in temperatures as southern New Jersey may reach 70 degrees while our area remains in the low 50s.

High pressure will then build in to our area on Friday with cooler air and it will be quite breezy.

Unsettled weather for the weekend. The latest computer models are indicating more drier air in the region but there still may be a chance of rain or snow on Saturday with quite cool temperatures but become milder on Sunday with still a chance of rain.

A stronger low pressure area will give us rain mainly from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning.

Friday will be cooler and breezy.

Another low pressure area will likely give us precipitation on Saturday and it may be cold enough for some accumulating snow especially over inland areas.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Saturday morning and temperatures are much colder than the last several mornings with early readings ranging from 27 in Clifton down to 17 at High Point. Winds are gusty out of the northwest 20-25 mph. The 27 degree reading here in Clifton is actually a couple of degrees above normal.

High pressure building from the southern Mississippi valley will give us a sunny day today with diminishing winds by this afternoon. After a chilly start, high temperatures will reach into the mid 40s which is slightly above normal.

More clouds but milder on Sunday as the high pressure builds over the area.

Above normal temperatures to continue next week, a weak disturbance may give us a shower on Tuesday, but a better chance of rain Wednesday night into Thursday.

Skies are cloudy and there is some fog around the area. Temperatures again are unseasonably mild with readings across all of the area mainly 50-55 degrees. Winds are mainly calm.

YESTERDAY’S HIGH: 69(New record) LOW: 53 PRECIPITATION: .08″ Note: The 53 degree low temperature was the second highest minimum temperature for the entire month of February.

Showers are expected to develop around 8 a.m. as a cold front approaches the area and should be off the coast by early this afternoon, the rain may be heavy at times. Strong southwest flow will cause temperatures to rise to the 60s this morning but after the front moves through temperatures will tumble to the 40s by sunset and the 20s by Saturday morning. Northwest winds behind the front may gust to 35 mph.

After a chilly start we will have plenty of sunshine on Saturday with diminishing winds, temperatures will rise to above normal readings in the afternoon.

Sunday will be milder despite considerable cloudiness.

Mild weather to continue much of next week with the best chance of showers will be from Tuesday night into Thursday.
