Low pressure off the Virginia coast and high pressure building down from off the New England coast will maintain a brisk northeast flow of mild but very dry air in our region today.

As the low pressure moves further offshore we will see less wind tomorrow and on Thursday with continued mostly fair skies and mild temperatures.

A few disturbances will give us a good chance of showers Friday through the weekend but unlike this past weekend when highs were in the 40s and 50s this coming weekend most highs will be in the 70s.

Dry weather with a warming trend the rest of this work week with plenty of sunshine each day, highs near 70 Tuesday and Wednesday and well up into the 70s Thursday and Friday.

The next chance of showers will be on the weekend but this time instead of highs in the 40s and 50s like this past weekend, highs this coming weekend will be well up into the 70s.

The low pressure responsible for the rain and chilly weather the last two days is finally moving further offshore. Some light rain should end by daybreak but it still will be mostly cloudy with some breaks of sunshine this afternoon. It will still be breezy but not as windy as yesterday. High temperatures will only be in the 50s.

The weather will improve the rest of this upcoming week with dry conditions and a slow warming trend. High temperatures will be a little below normal on Monday, near normal on Tuesday and rise to above normal the rest of the week.

It appears that the next chance of showers will be next weekend but this time it will be not nearly as cool as this weekend.

Low pressure currently is off the Virginia coast and will continue to give our area rain today and tonight. High temperatures today will only reach the low 50s and with northeast winds gusting to near 35 mph it will even feel colder. A rather dismal start to the weekend.

The rain should end around daybreak on Sunday as the low pressure slowly moves further to our east but it will remain mostly cloudy, breezy and quite cool.

At this point is still looks like next week will be mainly dry; temperatures will be below normal to start off the week but rise to above normal levels by the end of the week.

After a very nice and warm spring day yesterday our weather will go downhill today through Saturday night as a low pressure system moves into our area. Rain will develop this morning with periods of rain continuing through Saturday night. Temperatures today will only rise a couple of degrees from our present temperatures with highs only near 60. Saturday will even be cooler with highs in the low 50s and with a gusty northeast wind it will feel even cooler. Rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches are likely.

The rain should end by daybreak on Sunday but it will remain mostly cloudy, breezy and cool.

At this time much of next week will be dry with a slow increase in temperatures.
