High pressure will continue the mild and dry weather today with mostly sunny skies and lighter winds than yesterday. The humidity will remain quite low and there is still a risk of some brush fires in our area.

Continued dry Wednesday through Friday, temperatures will be above normal Wednesday and Thursday and near normal on Friday.

Looks like the next chance of rain will be on Saturday with chances of precipitation continuing Sunday and Monday. Temperatures with clouds and an onshore wind will be closer to normal with highs averaging in the upper 50s to near 60.

Today will be a nice spring day with plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures, however low pressure that has been sitting off the Canadian Maritimes will cause winds to be a little higher than yesterday and with low humidity there is a risk of some brush fires in the area.

Nice spring weather is expected to continue Tuesday through Thursday with mostly sunny skies each day. Winds will be lighter as the low offshore moves further east and high pressure builds into the area from the west.

Unsettled weather Friday through Sunday as a weak frontal system moves into our area. There will be a low chance of showers each day and somewhat cooler temperatures as there will be more clouds around and winds will be from the cooler ocean waters.

Radar is showing some rain and snow in parts of the area but with dry air the precipitation is not reaching the ground.

High pressure building into the area will give us a northwest flow of dry air and with plenty of sunshine temperatures will moderate with highs in the mid 50s with much less wind.

Some cloudy skies early on Easter Sunday then it should remain mostly cloudy as a weak warm front moves through the area. Early morning low temperatures will not nearly be as chilly as this morning and afternoon highs should reach to near 60 degrees.

Low pressure over the Canadian Maritimes and high pressure over the Midwest will cause a brisk northwest flow of unseasonably cold air, highs will only rise to the low 40s which is around 15 degrees below normal.

High pressure will continue to dominate our weather on the weekend with moderating temperatures. Saturday will be mostly sunny and not as cold as today with highs in the 50s. Milder on Easter Sunday despite more cloudiness.

Most of next week should be dry with temperatures slightly above normal, with the next chance of showers not until later in the week.

CLIFTON’S CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR MARCH 2021!

This March was milder than normal with temperatures nearly 4 degrees above normal. Highest temperature was 81 on the 26th and the lowest was 19 degrees on the 2nd. Precipitation was below normal with 3.15″. From the 2nd to the 18th we had no measurable precipitation which was the longest dry period since 2015. After having record snowfall in February this month only had a trace of snow, it was the only the 8th time in the last 48 years that there was no measurable snowfall in March. This month also was quite windy with many days having gusts over 35 mph.
