High pressure has moved offshore and a light southerly flow of warm and humid weather will be with us today. There will be a chance of some showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening, some of these storms may be accompanied by some heavy downpours, however many areas will remain dry.

The high pressure will remain offshore this weekend with a continued southerly flow of warm and humid air along with chances of mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
