Light rain is falling across the area early on this Friday morning and temperatures range from the low 40s in Clifton down to the mid 30s further inland, winds are light from the south.

A low pressure system will give us rain which will be heaviest in the morning, tapering off in the afternoon and ending this evening. Southerly flow of mild air will cause temperatures to rise well up into the 50s. Rainfall amounts will average around 1 inch.

Dry weather for this weekend, Saturday will still be mild but colder air is expected for Sunday.

More rain again for New Year’s Eve as another low pressure area moves into the area.

Mainly dry weather the rest of next week with a cooling trend.

Skies are mostly cloudy early on this Thursday morning and temperatures are a bit milder than this time yesterday ranging from the mid 30s in Clifton to the upper 20s further inland, winds are mainly calm.

High pressure along the east coast will give us another dry day with near seasonable temperatures. Skies will start out mostly cloudy but we should see more sunshine by later this morning.

A low pressure system will give our area another rainy Friday, rain from this system should develop around midnight tonight and continue through the day on Friday, the precipitation may start off briefly as a wintery mix across the higher elevations well inland.

Dry weather for the weekend, temperatures will be mild on Saturday but become colder on Sunday.

Another low pressure system will give our area a good chance of rain New Year’s Eve into New Year’s Day, again the rain may begin as a wintery mix inland.

Colder weather is likely by the end of next week.

Skies are partly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are mostly in the mid to upper 20s across the area, winds are mainly calm.

High pressure will give us dry conditions with seasonably cool temperatures today into the day on Thursday.

A low pressure system will move into the area late Thursday night with rain developing possibly starting off as a wintery mix over the higher elevations well inland. A warm front will move through the area Friday morning with temperatures rising well up into the 50s. Rainfall amounts should average around one inch.

High pressure will then be in control of our weather over the weekend. Saturday will still be mild but become colder on Sunday.

Dry weather should persist on New Year’s Eve but a weak disturbance will give us a chance of rain or snow on New Year’s Day.

Last year after Christmas we had two straight weeks of bitterly cold weather and the temperatures never rose above freezing with many low temperatures in the single digits.

High pressure building into the area will give us a rather nice Christmas Day with seasonably cool temperatures. Skies should be mostly sunny this morning then partly sunny this afternoon, winds will be light.

Continued dry with seasonably cool temperatures tomorrow through Thursday.

A low pressure system is expected to give us rain on Friday which may start as a wintery mix over the higher elevations inland. Temperatures will warm to well up into the 50s with 60 degrees possible.

Saturday will be dry with mild temperatures.

Colder on Sunday with a low chance of snow as a low pressure moves offshore to our south.

Skies are cloudy early on this Christmas Eve morning and there is some very light snow falling, temperatures range from around freezing in Clifton to the upper 20s further inland. Some dusting of snow has accumulated mostly on colder surfaces and the roads and sidewalks are mainly just wet.

The weak disturbance that is giving us the light snow will be moving off the coast while high pressure builds into the area. No further accumulation is expected in the Clifton area but the higher elevations inland may receive up to an inch of snowfall. Partial sunshine this afternoon and with highs in the 40s will melt any of the snow that has fallen this morning.

Dry and cool weather for Christmas Day through the day on Thursday as high pressure builds into the area.

A low pressure system will likely give us more rain on Friday possibly beginning as a wintery mix, temperatures on Friday will rise into the 50s. Rainfall amounts should average around an inch.

Mainly dry weather next weekend, temperatures will be above normal on Saturday and then be closer to normal on Sunday.
