Skies are cloudy early on this Friday morning and there is some drizzle falling in parts of the area, temperatures range from the upper 30s in Clifton to around 30 further inland where some freezing drizzle may be occuring, winds are light.

Today will be a cloudy but milder day with occasional drizzle as high pressure moves off the coast.   Rain from a low pressure will fall from tonight into Saturday morning.

There may be a break in the precipitation Saturday afternoon and evening but more rain and cooler temperatures is expected on Sunday.  Some snow showers may mix in with the rain before it ends very early Monday morning.

Dry weather is expected from during the day on Monday through Thursday, temperatures will be seasonably cold.

TONIGHT – Cloudy with a chance of rain before midnight then rain likely after midnight, low in the low 40s.

SATURDAY – DEC 15 – Cloudy with rain mainly before noon, high near 50, chance of rain again at night.

SUNDAY – DEC 16 – Cloudy with rain likely, high in the low 40s. Rain may mix with snow before ending at night.

Skies are cloudy early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from the low 30s in Clifton down to the low 20s further inland, winds are light.

The disturbance that was only expected to give us flurries today is a little stronger so we can see a period of light snow to develop after 8 a.m. before changing to light rain this afternoon, a dusting to around an inch of snow is possible before the changeover.   Some light drizzle may persist into this evening.

A stronger disturbance will give us rain mainly from Friday night into Saturday morning,  the rain may become moderate to heavy at times.  It will be milder with temperatures rising to the upper 40s.

Lingering light rain may continued Saturday night into Sunday as the storm moves offshore.

Dry weather is expected Monday through Wednesday along with cooler temperatures as high pressure builds into the area.

Skies have become mostly cloudy early on this Wednesday morning and temperatures are not as cold as the last couple of mornings with readings ranging from the low 30s in Clifton down to the mid 20s further inland, winds are light.

A weak high pressure will give us a partly to mostly sunny day, temperatures will be cool with highs near 40 and the winds will be light.

A weak disturbance will give us a slight chance of snow showers on Thursday, as of now no accumulation is expected in our area but a dusting is possible further inland.

A stronger low pressure will affect our area from late Friday into Saturday, it will become milder and any precipitation will be in the form of rain.

Most indications as of now that Sunday will be dry and cooler but the GFS model has precipitation lingering during the day.

High pressure will build into the region early next week, it will be dry with slightly below normal temperatures.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Tuesday morning and temperatures are cold again ranging from the low 20s in Clifton down to 11 degrees at Walpack, winds are mainly calm.

Today will be a mostly sunny and cold day as high pressure is over the area, temperatures will be similar to yesterday and the winds will be light.

Tonight will not be as cold as a weak front will cause mostly cloudy conditions.  High pressure building in on Wednesday will give us another dry but chilly day.

A weak disturbance may touch off some flurries on Thursday and it will continue to be chilly.

Milder on Friday as a frontal system with a warm front moves into the area, rain from this system is likely from late Friday into at least Saturday morning, this rain may be moderate to heavy at times with an inch of rain is possible.

Dry with seasonable temperatures Sunday into Monday.

Another chilly morning across the area as temperatures range from the mid 20s in Clifton down to 11 degrees at Walpack, skies are mostly clear and the wind is light.

High pressure building in from the west will cause a cold dry day today, winds will be a little higher than yesterday as the low pressure that gave parts of North Carolina and Virginia heavy snow moves off the coast.

Cold and dry weather is expected to continue Tuesday through Thursday as high pressure continues to dominate.

Milder on Friday but a low pressure system will likely give us rain Friday night into Saturday.

At this point Sunday looks to be dry but continued mild.
