Skies are mostly clear early on this Friday morning and temperatures are cool ranging from the upper 30s in Clifton down to the mid 20s further inland, winds are light northerly.

Clouds will increase this morning as low pressure system approaches the area, rain from this system will begin this afternoon and become heavy at times this evening before tapering off late tonight.   Rainfall amounts will average between 1-2 inches and a flash flood watch is in effect.

The rain will end shortly after midnight and Saturday will be a dry but windy and chilly day, winds may gust to 35 mph and with highs only in the 40s will make it feel even colder.

Sunday will be chilly but with diminishing winds.

Another storm system is expected to give us some more heavy rain from late Monday night though Tuesday night.

Very chilly weather Wednesday through the end of the week but we should remain mainly dry.

OUTLOOK – A gale warning as been posted effective from 6 a.m. Saturday morning until 6 p.m. Saturday evening;  small craft conditions likely to continue Saturday night; no advisories expected for Sunday and Monday;  gales again possible on Tuesday.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Thursday morning and temperatures range from the low 40s in Clifton down to the low 30s further inland, winds are light northerly.

High pressure will give us a nice day today,  but high temperatures will be about 5-10 degrees lower than yesterday.

A low pressure system will give the area rain, mostly falling from tomorrow afternoon into early Saturday morning, rainfall amounts should average between 1 and 1 1/2 inches with higher amounts possible.

High pressure building in behind the storm will give us dry weather for the weekend, but it will be chilly with highs both days only in the 40s.

After a dry and cool Monday, still another storm system will likely give us more rain Monday night through Tuesday night, inland it may start off as a mixture of snow and rain.

The rest of next week now looks to be dry and quite chilly.

Skies are mostly clear early on this Wednesday morning and it is mild with temperatures ranging from the low 50s in Clifton down to the mid 40s further inland, winds are light westerly.

After two days of clouds and rain today we will see some sunshine, temperatures will be a little above normal with highs in the low 60s.   A weak cold front will come through dry late in the day.

Tomorrow will be mostly sunny and a little cooler.

More rain on Friday as a low pressure system moves into the area,  the best chance of rain will be between 11 a.m Friday morning until 3 a.m. Saturday morning.   Temperatures may be cold enough for some snow to mix in at the start of the precipitation across higher elevations of Northwest New Jersey and the Poconos, as well as just before the precipitation ends.

Chilly and dry weather over the weekend as high pressure build into the area.  This cool weather will continue on Monday with more rain likely on Tuesday.

A warm front will cross the area this morning followed by a cold front this afternoon.  Any drizzle should end this morning but showers and possibly a thunderstorm will develop, the best likelihood of rain will be between 11 a.m till 4 p.m.   Temperatures will be mild with highs in the 60s.

Dry weather is expected Wednesday and Thursday and temperatures will be seasonably cool.

A frontal system will likely give us rain on Friday, this rain may be mixed with snow well inland in the morning and again before the precipitation ends Friday night.

The weekend looks to be dry but chilly with widespread 20s possible early Sunday morning.

High pressure off the Maine coast along with low pressure  to our south will give us an onshore flow of cool and moist air.  Rain will develop this morning and continue into tonight.

Milder on Tuesday as a warm front will move through the area in the morning followed by a cold front crossing the area by Tuesday evening.  There may be a dry period Tuesday morning but showers and possibly a thunderstorm will be likely in the afternoon and early evening.

Dry weather is expected Wednesday into the day on Thursday as high pressure builds into the area.

Another frontal system will likely give us rain on Friday.

The weekend at this point looks to be dry and chilly.
