Mostly sunny and warm today! Increasing clouds on Monday with rain likely at night continuing through Tuesday!


Good morning everyone!

Skies are mostly clear early on this Sunday morning and temperatures are similar to this time yesterday morning with readings ranging  from the mid 60s in Clifton down to the upper 50s further inland, winds are mainly calm and it is a little humid with dew points in the low to mid 60s.

High pressure will give us another nice day today with plenty of sunshine along with seasonably warm temperatures.

The high pressure will move offshore on Monday with an increase in clouds expected as the remains of Tropical cyclone Florence approach the area.  Rain should develop Monday night and continue into Tuesday, the rain may be heavy at times.   Rainfall amounts will average between 1 and 1/2 inches.  The humidity will rise with dew points climbing into the low 70s.

High pressure returns for Wednesday and continues into Thursday.  Wednesday will be warm and less humid and Thursday will be a little cooler.

A cold front is expected to move into the region late on Friday and move slowly south of us on Saturday.   Friday will be warm with some showers possible Friday night into Saturday morning.

For once skies are mostly clear early this morning and temperatures range from the middle 60s in Clifton down to some upper 50s further inland, winds are mainly calm and the humidity is on the high side.

After having nearly a week of cloudy skies we will finally see plenty of sunshine today and on Sunday, high temperatures will reach near 80 both days along with moderate humidity as high pressure builds into our area from New England.

Another pleasantly warm day on Monday.

The remains of Tropical Storm Florence may give us periods of heavy rain on Tuesday, 1-2 inches of rain is likely with higher amounts possible.

Fair weather returns on Wednesday and should last the rest of next week.  High temperatures will be warm on Wednesday and Friday but somewhat lower on Thursday.

Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy early on this Friday morning and temperatures range from around 70 in Clifton to the mid 60s further inland, there is a light northeast wind.  The humidity is still rather high and there is some patchy fog in parts of the area.

After some early morning low clouds we should see some more sunshine by noontime and temperatures will be similar to yesterday rising to the upper 70s to around 80.

A very nice weekend is expected with plenty of sunshine both days as high pressure builds over our area, temperatures will be a little above normal and the humidity will be moderate.

A cold front along with the possible remnants of Hurricane Florence may give us some heavy rain from late Monday through early Wednesday.

Cloudy and humid again today with scattered showers! Good bet that the sun will finally come out tomorrow!


Our area again has cloudy skies and temperatures range from around 70 in Clifton down the the mid 60s further inland, there are some showers mainly just to our south across the Newark area.  The humidity remains high and the winds are mainly calm.

Today will be a cloudy day again with a chance of some showers as a weak front will be to our south.

High pressure then will build in for Friday and last through the weekend and after days of overcast skies we will finally see sunshine all three days with seasonably warm temperatures and lower humidity.

Monday should remain dry but a cold front along with some moisture from the remnants of Florence may touch off some rain or showers Tuesday and Wednesday.

Good morning everyone!

Our skies are cloudy again early on this Wednesday morning and there is some fog or drizzle falling in parts of the area, temperatures range from the low 70s in Clifton down to the mid 60s further inland,  it is quite humid with dew points near 70.

More cloudy conditions again today with showers and possibly some thunderstorms are likely, it will be humid with dew points in the low 70s.   A weak front is just to our south and east.

Still mostly cloudy skies on Thursday, rain chances will lower but there will still be a chance of a shower.

Finally we should see more sunshine Friday through the weekend with seasonably warm temperatures and moderate humidity levels as high pressure builds over the area.  Meanwhile Hurricane Florence is expected to move onshore of the Carolinas on Friday but will NOT affect our area except for high surf and dangerous rip currents along the coast.

Seasonably warm early next week with a chance of showers on Tuesday as a front approaches from the northwest.
