Mainly cloudy and humid with showers likely today! Mostly cloudy with showers still possible on Thursday!


Good morning everyone!

Our skies are cloudy again early on this Wednesday morning and there is some fog or drizzle falling in parts of the area, temperatures range from the low 70s in Clifton down to the mid 60s further inland,  it is quite humid with dew points near 70.

More cloudy conditions again today with showers and possibly some thunderstorms are likely, it will be humid with dew points in the low 70s.   A weak front is just to our south and east.

Still mostly cloudy skies on Thursday, rain chances will lower but there will still be a chance of a shower.

Finally we should see more sunshine Friday through the weekend with seasonably warm temperatures and moderate humidity levels as high pressure builds over the area.  Meanwhile Hurricane Florence is expected to move onshore of the Carolinas on Friday but will NOT affect our area except for high surf and dangerous rip currents along the coast.

Seasonably warm early next week with a chance of showers on Tuesday as a front approaches from the northwest.

TONIGHT – Cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, humid, low in the upper 60s.

THURSDAY – SEP 13 – Cloudy with a chance of showers, humid,  high near 80.

FRIDAY – SEP 14 – Partly sunny, high in the upper 70s.

SATURDAY – SEP 15 – Partly sunny, high near 80.

SUNDAY – SEP 16 – Mostly sunny, high near 80.

MONDAY – SEP 17 – Partly sunny, high near 80.

TUESDAY – SEP 18 – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high near 80.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  A small craft advisory is in effect for high seas until 6 a.m. Thursday morning.  Today – East winds to 10 knots, seas 5-8 feet.

OUTLOOK – Small craft conditions for high seas expected to continue Thursday through Sunday.
