Very pleasant spring weekend with milder temperatures and lighter winds along with plenty of sunshine!


Good morning everyone!   Skies are mostly clear early this morning and temperatures are once again quite chilly with readings ranging from the mid 30s in Clifton down to the cold low 20s in some inland areas, Walpack has fallen to 22 degrees.  The winds however are much lighter than the past few mornings.

Strong high pressure will be in control of our weather this weekend giving us finally some nice spring weather with plenty of sunshine both days, light winds and milder temperatures, highs will approach 60 degrees which is still a little below normal for this time of year.

Pleasant weather to continue Monday through the day on Tuesday as high pressure moves through the area.

Wet weather will return late Tuesday night into Wednesday as a low pressure from the south approaches our area, temperatures will be a little below normal.

Showers may persist Thursday and Friday as the low pressure moves slowly off the coast.

Good morning everyone!     Skies are mostly cloudy early this morning and temperatures are once again cool ranging from the middle 30s in Clifton down to around 30 further inland, winds are brisk out of the northwest.

Low pressure over Eastern Canada and high pressure building from the upper midwest will give us a brisk northwest flow of cool air.  There will be more sunshine today and temperatures will be a couple of degrees higher than yesterday.

Plenty of sunshine over the weekend with a slow warming trend as high pressure builds closer to the area.

The pleasant weather is expected to continue into early next week.

The next chance of significant rain will be on Wednesday into Thursday as low pressure moves up the coast from the south, the rain may be heavy at times.

Good morning everyone!    Skies are cloudy early this morning and there is some light rain falling, temperatures range from the low 40s in Clifton to the low 30s in some areas well inland where some of the rain is mixed with snow.  Winds are light.

A weak low pressure area will move off the Jersey coast today, we should have periods of rain. Late this morning may be dry but showers should develop again this afternoon.  Temperatures will be cool with northerly winds increasing during the day.   Some of the rain will be mixed with snow in the higher elevations well inland.

A extended period of dry weather is expected Friday through early next week, temperatures will be cool tomorrow and Saturday but be closer to normal Sunday through Tuesday.

Another low may give us showers on Wednesday.

Good morning everyone!   Skies are mostly cloudy early this morning and temperatures are cool ranging from the mid 30s in Clifton down to around 30 further inland, winds are from the west 5-10 mph.

A weak area of high pressure will give us a mostly sunny day, it will be milder than yesterday and with diminishing winds by this afternoon.

An area of low pressure will move across the area on Thursday, light rain is likely starting before daybreak and continuing into the afternoon, temperatures will be cooler and winds will pick up in the afternoon and evening with some gusts near 30 mph.

Dry weather is expected Friday through early next week, temperatures will be cool on Friday and Saturday and gradually warm up to near normal Sunday into next week.

Good morning everyone!  Skies are mostly cloudy early this morning and there are some widely scattered showers and even some snow flurries in parts of the area. Temperatures range from around 40 in Clifton to the low 30s further inland, winds are gusty out of the west.   Rainfall from this past storm here in Clifton totalled 3.63 inches.

The storm that caused record April snows to the upper midwest, tornadoes in the south and drenching rain to our area has moved up to eastern Canada. The cyclonic flow around the low will give us a brisk westerly wind along with a chance of a shower today, temperatures will be cool.

Wednesday will be a nicer day with plenty of sunshine and temperatures milder than today with less wind.

Another weaker low pressure system will give us some rain mainly Thursday morning, rainfall amounts should be less than a half of an inch.

Fair and dry weather Friday that should extend into the weekend, daily highs will start off cool but rise a couple of degrees each day.
