Finally some nice spring weather most of this week! Best chance of showers Friday into Saturday!


Skies are mostly clear early on this Monday morning and with light winds there is a rather large spread in temperatures ranging from the upper 40s here in Clifton to the mid 30s in some of the inland suburbs.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine, it will be breezy but not as windy as yesterday, high temperatures will reach into the low 70s for the first time this month.

Tomorrow will be slightly cooler as we will have more cloudiness especially across the southern part of the state.

Milder again on Wednesday and Thursday with plenty of sunshine both days.

A couple of fronts will give us the best chance of showers on Friday and Saturday followed by dry and cooler weather on Sunday.

Some showers this morning followed by a mostly sunny but windy afternoon! Dry weather with seasonable temperatures Monday through Wednesday!


Skies are cloudy early on this Mother’s Day morning and there is some dense fog in spots, temperatures range from the upper 40s here in Clifton to the mid 40s further inland, winds are nearly calm.

A cold front will be crossing the area this morning accompanied by some showers and followed by a rather strong northwest flow of much drier air and with the sunshine temperatures will be milder than the last few days.  Some wind gusts may approach 35 mph.

Nice weather with seasonably mild temperatures tomorrow through at least Wednesday as high pressure builds into the area, the showers that we mentioned yesterday for the midweek period now looks like they will remain to our south.

A stronger front moving into the area looks to give us a good chance of showers and thunderstorms on Friday.

We may see finally see some sun this afternoon after morning clouds and drizzle! Mostly sunny, breezy and milder on Mother’s Day after early morning showers!


Skies are again cloudy with some drizzle early on this Saturday morning and temperatures range from the upper 40s here in Clifton to the mid 40s inland, winds are light northeasterly.

The upper low pressure that has given us the miserable weather of this week to finally weaken today, low clouds and drizzle will persist this morning but drier air will move into the area this afternoon that may allow for some sunshine, temperatures will not be as cool, rising into the low 60s and maybe higher if we get more sunshine.

A cold front will cross the area early on Sunday morning possible accompanied by some showers and followed by a mostly sunny day with milder temperatures although it may be a bit breezy.

Monday will be a rather nice spring day with plenty of sunshine and with seasonably mild temperatures.

More cloudiness Tuesday through the end of the week as a warm front moves just south of the area, there will be a chance of rain Tuesday night through Wednesday and again Thursday night into Friday but even with the rain it will not be as cool as this past week with near seasonable temperatures expected.

Another rainy, cool and cloudy day today! Finally some breaks of sun and not as cool over the weekend but still a risk of some showers!


Rain has moved into the area this morning and temperatures range from around 50 here in Clifton to the mid 40s inland, winds are light northeasterly.

A low pressure system offshore will pivot into our area today causing rain this morning tapering off to showers by late this afternoon, with the continued overcast skies temperatures once again will be unseasonably cool with highs only in the mid 50s, expect around 3/4 of an inch of rainfall.

The low will weaken on Saturday but there still is a low chance of a shower and we also may see some breaks in the clouds allowing for finally some sunshine.

A cold front will cross the area on Sunday morning accompanied by some showers and followed by a mostly sunny afternoon but it will be breezy.

Monday looks to be a mostly sunny day with near normal temperatures.

A warm front will be approaching the area Tuesday and Wednesday that may touch off more rain showers, temperatures however will continue to be near normal with highs near 70.

APRIL 2016 CLIMATE SUMMARY:   Temperatures averaged 51.6 degrees which was 0.3 degrees above normal;  Precipitation totaled 2.92″ which is 68% of normal

Highest Temperature: 82 on the 18th and 22nd.    Lowest Temperature:  23 on the 5th which was the coldest April temperature in 12 years.

We have cloudy skies again early on the Thursday morning and there is some drizzle or mist falling in some areas, temperatures range from the mid 40s here in Clifton toe the low 40s inland, winds are light.

Our dreary weather continues today with continued overcast skies and quite cool temperatures, there will be some drizzle, onshore winds will make it feel cooler.

Another low pressure system will be moving in from the ocean on Friday with more steady rain especially during the afternoon into Saturday morning, temperatures will continue to be cool.

It will be a little milder over the weekend and we may finally see some sun, however there is still a chance of showers mainly Saturday night into Sunday morning as a front moves through the area.

Warmer as we head into next week, Monday should be dry but there will be another chance of showers Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
