Mostly sunny and warm Tuesday after morning drizzle and fog! Rain later Wednesday into Thursday!


Skies are mostly cloudy at daybreak this morning along with some fog and drizzle, temperatures are quite mild for this time of year with readings mostly in the low 60s, humidity is quite high.

After early morning drizzle and fog it will become mostly sunny, warm and rather humid with temperatures reaching the upper 70s.

After another warm night with a chance of some early morning fog and drizzle on Wednesday we should have some breaks in the clouds permitting temperatures once again to rise well into the 70s.  Showers are expected to develop late in the day and last through Thursday, some of the rain may be heavy with an inch or two of rainfall expected, some thunderstorms may also occur.

Drying out by Thursday night and we can expect dry and mild temperatures Friday and Saturday.

Dry and cooler weather Sunday into early next week.

Small craft advisory will be in effect from 6pm this evening till 6am on Thursday.

OUTLOOK –  Advisories may be needed to be extended for high seas later Thursday through Saturday.

 

TROPICS – Hurricane Gonzalo located just north of the British Virgin Islands this morning with top winds at 110 mph, Gonzalo may affect Bermuda later this week.

Milder week coming up but with a lot of clouds!


Skies have become cloudy early this morning and temperatures range from the upper 40s in the Clifton area to the low 40s in the normally cooler areas inland, winds are calm.

Today we will have mostly cloudy skies with temperatures a couple of degrees higher than on Sunday, there is an outside chance of some drizzle or sprinkles this afternoon and evening but most areas will remain dry.

Tonight temperatures will not drop all that much only falling to the upper 50s which is about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year, skies will continue to be mostly cloudy.

On Tuesday we should have more sunshine which will help boost temperatures to the upper 70s.

Chances of showers increase on Wednesday with continued quite mild temperatures.

A rather strong storm system now in the Southern Plains will approach the area will likely give us some heavy rain on Thursday along with possible thunderstorms, temperatures will remain mild.

After a chance of some showers Friday morning we should dry out during the day, above normal temperatures will continue.

The weekend at this point appears that it will be dry, above normal temperatures on Saturday will fall to more normal mid October readings on Sunday.

Pleasantly cool and dry Sunday! Warmer this week with 80 degrees possible by Tuesday!


At daybreak this morning skies are mostly clear, temperatures range from the low 40s in the Clifton area to the low and mid 30s in outlying areas, winds are light.

Today will be a much nicer day than yesterday as we will have plenty of sunshine with high temperatures in the 60s.

Columbus day will feature more clouds but temperatures will be milder, there is a chance of a few sprinkles but most areas will remain dry.

A warm front will be moving north of our area Monday night and Tuesday will be much warmer and even somewhat humid, high temperatures may reach the 80 degree mark.

A frontal system may give us some showers on Wednesday with showers more likely Wednesday night into Thursday, temperatures will continue to be mild.

Still a chance of showers on Friday with mild conditions.

At this point next week appears to be dry with mild temperatures on Saturday with cooler weather returning on Sunday.

Cool weekend with some light rain mainly falling this morning!


Light rain is falling at daybreak with temperatures ranging from around 50 degrees in the Clifton area to the mid 40s inland, winds are light.

Light rain started falling around 2am this morning and periods of rain will continue till around or just after noontime, expect about 1/3 of an inch of rainfall. With the clouds and showers high temperatures are expected to only rise to the upper 50s.

Tonight we will have clearing and it will be quite cool dropping to the low 40s in the Clifton area to the mid 30s further inland with some frost possible, a frost advisory has been issued for Sussex County.

Plenty of sunshine on Sunday with high temperatures a couple of degrees higher than today.

Milder weather for most of next week but there will be a good chance of rain from Monday night through Thursday with the heaviest rain expected to fall from Tuesday night into Wednesday as a strong front moves through the area.

Clouds will increase today with rain tonight into early Saturday morning! The rest of the weekend will be cool and dry!


Skies are mostly clear at daybreak this morning with temperatures ranging from the upper 40s in the Clifton area to the mid 30s in the normally colder areas of Sussex and Warren counties, winds are light.

Today we will have increasing cloudiness as a disturbance to our southwest moves slowly northward, although we can’t rule out a shower later this afternoon most of the rain will fall after 9pm and last into early Saturday morning, temperatures will be slightly cooler than yesterday but there will be less wind.

High pressure will build down into our area from the north Saturday afternoon giving us dry and cool conditions that will last through the rest of the weekend.

As we start the work week we should see milder air move in, Monday and Tuesday should remain dry but another stronger frontal system will likely cause rain some moderate to heavy from Tuesday night into Thursday.
