A pleasant Thursday after a chilly start!


Temperatures this morning with clear skies are in the upper 20s and this will likely be the last readings in the 20s until next November. Temperatures will moderate today with sunny skies and since the winds will be lighter it will feel much more comfortable.
The chances of rain are lower now for Friday as we should only be brushed by light rain and inland may not see any rain at all.
A very pleasant weekend with temperatures warming to the 60s by Sunday.
Finally some warm spring weather next week and we may see our first 70 degree reading by Tuesday, although there will be some April showers scattered in the area.

Outlook – Small craft advisory posted for Friday that may extend into Saturday morning, with the next possible chance of advisory conditions later Monday into Tuesday.

Cold to linger one more day!


At daybreak this morning we have clear skies with temperatures a couple of degrees higher than yesterday morning, falling to around 30 degrees. Today will be a repeat of yesterday with much below normal temperatures and gusty winds. Also with gusty winds and low humidity a fire weather warning is in effect for brush fires, so watch your butts.
After a chilly start on Thursday temperatures will moderate during the day with plenty of sunshine.
On Friday a coastal low pressure will be moving east of our area with rain likely falling mainly from 8am-2pm.
The weather will be seasonably mild and dry for the weekend.
Early next week there will be mostly cloudy skies but temperatures will rise into the 60s.

Winter makes another comeback!


After having the mildest temperatures since last fall yesterday a cold front came through in the afternoon bringing in much colder air, readings this morning dropped to 27 degrees here in Clifton which ties the record low for the date that was last set in 1989. Despite plenty of sunshine today, temperatures today will not get out of the 40s and with a brisk wind it will feel even colder.
Tomorrow will be dry and just as chilly..
Milder on Thursday as high pressure moves over us and the winds will diminish.
The next chance of rain will be on Friday as a storm moves up the coast, most of this rain will fall east of the Clifton area…
Conditions will improve for the weekend and we may have temperatures reaching the 60s again by Sunday.

Good weather for the Yankee’s opening day! Colder air coming in tonight!


At dawn this morning skies are partly cloudy and temperatures are in the rather mild low 40s. During the day it will be partly cloudy with temperatures in the mild upper 50s. By late this afternoon a cold front will be crossing the area accompanied by gusty winds and a chance of a sprinkle and followed by much colder air with temperatures quickly falling to near 30 by daybreak tomorrow.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be chilly and windy with high temperatures not getting out of the 40s and nighttime readings below freezing.
Milder and dry for Thursday.
A coastal storm will be developing off the Carolina coast on Friday spreading rain into our area.
At this point the weekend looks to be dry with seasonably mild temperatures.

Sunny start to Easter but rain later today!


At daybreak this Easter morning we have nice clear skies and light winds with temperatures mostly in the mid 30s. After sunshine this morning we will have increasing cloudiness with rain developing around 5PM and continuing until about midnight.
Clearing on Monday and it will be mild, a cold front approaching will give us a chance of an afternoon or evening sprinkle.
Much cooler on Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures climbing only to the 40s and with a gusty wind it will feel even cooler.
Milder on Thursday with sunshine but there is a chance of some rain on Friday.
Sunshine returns for next weekend with seasonably mild temperatures.
