A persistent upper level low over our area will help continue the mainly cloudy and cool conditions along with some more flurries or sprinkles.
More sunshine on Monday with temperatures a couple of degrees higher.
Even more sunshine on Tuesday and again a bit milder.
It now appears that the midweek storm will stay south of us but I would like to see a couple more model runs today and tonight to safely say we are out of the woods.

Cool and rather cloudy weekend!

An upper level low pressure over our area will continue to produce lot of clouds with even a chance of a sprinkle or flurry today and Sunday with cooler than normal temperatures.
Monday and Tuesday will have a little more sunshine with temperatures still a little below normal for early March.
Now for the potential mid-week storm, most of the computer models have shifted the track of the low more south which would limit the chances of a significant storm in our area, however the disturbance that will help develop the storm is still over the Pacific and good model data will not be inserted into the forecast until this disturbance is over land over the northwest states later tomorrow or Monday morning, so stay tuned..

Enjoy the start of the weekend!

March is coming in rather lamb-like however the lion will be lurking for the middle of next week!

This morning temperatures are right around the freezing mark and with some sunshine during the day we should reach the upper 40s.
Dry weather is on tap for the weekend but there will be mostly cloudy and a little cooler than the last couple of day.
Still dry for early next week with temperatures a little below normal for early March.
A major winter storm is becoming more likely during Wednesday and Thursday as most of the computer models are now showing the coastal storm moving further north than they showed yesterday, too early for details but significant rain and snow is possible along with strong winds and coastal flooding. Stay tuned!!!!

Enjoy your day!

Mainly cloudy weather with a couple light showers for the last day of February!

Cloudy conditions prevail this morning with temperatures at 6:15AM are near 40 degrees. The main low pressure that dumped more than an inch of rain yesterday has moved to our north but an upper level low over us will continue rather cloudy skies with a few light showers or sprinkles during the day, inland some of the showers will have a few flakes mixing in with the rain, high temperatures will be above normal reaching around 50 degrees.
More in the way of sunshine on Friday with temperatures still a little above normal.
Dry on the weekend into early next week but temperatures will cool off to below normal readings for the first part of March..
Still watching for a possible storm next Wednesday or Thursday, the European model now has this system moving to our south and just brushing our area while the American model has the system even further to our south. This situation is still a week away and it is something to keep an eye on.

The forecast: Today – Cloudy with a chance of showers, high near 50.
Tonight – Mostly cloudy, low in the low 30s.
Friday – Partly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

Outlook – Seas and winds will be near or just above small craft advisory levels Friday through Tuesday.

Enjoy this last day of February 2013!!

Rain ending by noon today with mild temperatures!

Low pressure now over southern New Jersey will move through our area this morning, rain from this system should end by noon, rather brisk winds will die down as the morning progresses, despite plenty of clouds temperatures will rise into the 50s this afternoon
Thursday will still be mostly cloudy with a chance of light showers, temperatures will still be above normal reaching 50 degrees in many areas.
It should remain dry from Friday through early next week but temperatures will gradually fall with high temperatures on Friday in the upper 40s but only in the upper 30s on Monday.
As I mentioned yesterday that I would not be surprised to have an early March snowstorm and now the European model is indicating a storm developing for the Tuesday night into next Wednesday that would give our area a few inches of the white stuff while the American model is not showing any snow for our area so stay tuned.

The forecast: Today – Rain tapering off to showers and ending around noon, mild with a high in the low 50s.
Tonight – Mostly cloudy with a chance of a shower, low in the mid 30s.
