No sunrise seen this morning!!


Today is the first day of my retirement and I was looking forward to seeing my first sunrise today but there many more nice sunrises to happen in the very near future…
Overnight we had some heavier rain and even some sleet in some areas.

Today will be damp and chilly with occasional light rain or drizzle most of the day, highs in the 40s.. .

Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy not as cool with highs in the 50s however chance of more showers in the afternoon and evening…

Monday looks nice with highs in the low 60s, bit breezy however..

Tuesday will start off nice but more showers again in the late afternoon and into early Wednesday morning, highs again in the low 60s.

Later Wednesday through the rest of the week looks good with plenty of sun and with temperatures seasonable for the first week of April with highs in the upper 50s..

TGIF – in more ways than one!


My last day at work at PSE&G and it will be a pleasant day weather wise too as we will have mainly sunny skies and highs in the 50s.

Increasing cloudiness tonight will rain developing mainly after midnight with lows in the upper 30s.

Saturday I was going to take a picture of the first sunrise for the next chapter of my life and of course it will be cloudy with rain. After having one of the warmest and driest March on record, this day will be cold and raining with highs in the 40s. In fact some of the inland suburbs will have some snow mixed in with the rain. Most of the rain will end by the afternoon but it will remain cloudy.

Sunday will be milder with some sun but still a chance of a shower, highs in the upper 50s.

The warmup that was forecast for early next week will be scaled down and instead of highs in the 70s most highs will be in the low 60s. At this time there is a chance of showers especially on Tuesday..

Cooler and breezy Thursday!


After yesterday’s mild day with even a clasp of thunder today will feature partly sunny skies and it will be breezy with highs only reaching around 60 despite it being in the 50s early this morning.

Tonight clear and chilly with lows in the low 30s.

Friday clouds will increase later in the day, highs in the 50s.

Saturday now looks wet and chilly as a low pressure moves to our south, with clouds, rain and an onshore flow temperatures will mainly be in the 40s.

Better on Sunday with some sun and highs going back up to the low to mid 60s.

Looks like a mild start to the weather next week, highs in the upper 60s..

Milder day today but with showers!


It is quite a bit milder this morning than yesterday morning as the lows went down to the upper 30s.. Yesterday morning it was 27 degrees and the day ended 5 degrees below normal..

Today we will be back to above normal temperatures but it will cloud up later this morning with afternoon and evening showers and even a thunderstorm, highs will reach close to 70 degrees..

Cold front tonight with lingering showers possible into tomorrow morning.

Thursday we will have cooler temperatures but still a bit above normal with a high near 60 degrees.

Friday a great day, mostly wonderful with highs in the 50s..

Saturday we will have the risk of showers again with the highs in the upper 50s

Sunday looks good with mostly sunny skies and milder temperatures with highs climbing into the low 60s..

Monday could be quite warm once again ahead of a cold front with readings into the 70s….

Wind and cold this morning! Brrrrrrr!!


Well if you are going outside this morning you will experience temperatures in the 20s for the first time in awhile, although it feels very cold the temperature is only about five degrees below normal… of course the wind makes it worse.

Today the wind will slowly diminish and with plenty of strong sunshine highs will reach the low 50s, very dry out there with a red flag warning issued for us today for brush fires so watch your butts..

Tonight winds further diminish and it won’t be as cold with lows in the 30s..

Wednesday milder but with a chance of showers from around 11AM till the evening as a weak cold front moves through, highs back up to the pleasant 60s..

Thursday mostly cloudy with only a small chance of a lingering shower, seasonably mild with highs in the upper 50s..

Friday will be one of the best days and the weather will be nice too, dry with highs in the upper 50s..

Seasonably mild temperatures for the weekend but with a chance of showers Saturday evening, highs near 60 degrees…

A strong cold front will come through this morning, mild readings in the 50s ahead of the front will drop to the 40s this afternoon on strong north-northwest winds gusting to 35 MPH.

By tonight it will get colder with lows falling into the 20s by Tuesday morning, still windy with wind chill readings around 10 degrees.. brrrrrrr

Tuesday. Mostly sunny with slowly diminishing winds, highs will rebound around 50 degrees in the afternoon..

Tuesday night not as cold with lows in the mid-upper 30s.

Wednesday another cold front will move into the area with a chance of showers in the afternoon into Thursday morning. Highs on Wednesday around 60 degrees.

Clearing Thursday and dry Friday, seasonably mild with highs in the upper 50s.

Weekend looks dry at this point with continued seasonably mild temps in the upper 50s.

No more evening shifts for me so my updates will be earlier in the morning… yippee…

Cloudy day, clearing tonight, strong cold front on Monday!!


Well this morning the temperatures went below 50 degrees for the first time since Monday as we dipped into the low 40s, still 10 degrees above normal.

Very little rain occurred and only a brief shower is possible today but with lots of clouds around and a northeast wind the highs will be mainly in the upper 50s.

A strong cold front will move by tomorrow morning it will be windy and much cooler behind the front, highs in the 50s in the morning falling into the 40s in the afternoon.

Monday night and Tuesday morning we will have below freezing temperatures and a freeze warning will probably be issued.

Chilly during the day on Tuesday but with less wind and a high in the low 50s..

Milder Wednesday with a chance of showers at night into early Thursday, highs in the low 60s.

Dry the rest of Thursday and Friday, highs will be slightly above normal in the upper 50s…

Summer in March is now over, we now start spring weather!


After record breaking warmth more typical of June than March we will return to more seasonable spring weather for the next several days.

Today it will cloud up with chance of showers later this afternoon with a better chance tonight into Sunday morning, temperatures still above normal in the 60s.

Sunday most of the showers will be in the morning but some will linger into the afternoon, highs mainly in the low 60s.

Monday a strong cold front will move through during the day with no rain but it will get windy, highs will be around 60 degrees in the morning falling into the 40s by sunset, gusts to 35MPH.. Monday night bring those sensitive plants in since it may be close to freezing especially inland..

Tuesday will feel downright cold after this warm spell with plenty of sunshine but highs only mainly in the upper 40s to around 50, actually only a little below normal..

Wednesday another disturbance moves in, bit milder with highs in the upper 50s, chance of showers Wednesday afternoon to Thursday morning..

Last day of summer in March, cooler weekend with rain developing!


Another very warm day today but a bit less humid, highs will again reach the 70s, more typical of early June..

Saturday clouds will increase and rain will develop towards evening, highs still above normal in the 60s.

Sunday rain will continue, cooler still, highs in the 50s.

Monday clearing skies with highs around 60.

A cold front will come through Monday night with temperatures falling into the 30s and highs on Tuesday in the low 50s, it will be windy. Also bring in those tender plants especially if you live well inland since there may be some below freezing temperatures on Monday and Tuesday night..

It really is foggy out there this morning!


Dense fog since last night caused many travel problems with visibilities less than 100 yards, this fog will burn off this morning and unlike yesterday we will have more sunshine as a result highs will soar into the 70s.. Yesterday’s high was only 67 here while it was 83 in Portland Maine..

Tomorrow a “weak” cold front will come through lowering humidity levels but highs will still be in the 70s with mostly sunny skies..

Saturday we will have increasing clouds with rain developing towards evening, highs in the 60s.

Sunday we will have cloudy skies all day with periods of rain highs only in the 50s which is normal for this time of year..

Monday we will have clearing highs around 60..

Tuesday, lots of sun, high in the upper 50s..

Wednesday bit milder with highs in the mid to upper 60s.
