Clouds and rain have moved away, now here comes the heat again!

Yesterday for the most part was dry, my backyard rain gauge picked up about .25″ of rain mostly in a thunderstorm around 9PM. Much heavier rain fell to our north across Orange and Westchester counties as well as southeastern Connecticut where over 2 inches fell..
The rain and clouds have moved offshore and now we will have three days of intense heat before a cold front moves through late Wednesday night. The end of this week into the weekend look cooler and less humid with highs in the 80s. Latest indications show more heat for the beginning of next week..

Tonight, mostly clear, low around 70.

Tuesday, sunny and very hot, highs in the upper 90s.

Wednesday, partly sunny, hot and humid with a chance of thunderstorms late in the day, highs in the mid 90s.

Thursday, partly cloudy, high in the upper 80s

Friday through Sunday, mostly sunny with highs in the mid 80s..

Marine Forecast: Today, west wind less than 10 knots, seas 3 feet.
Sub-advisory level winds and seas through the weekend, chance of thunderstorms Wednesday and Wednesday night.
