Finally humidity levels are going down!


Yesterday we again had high humidity with dew points in the 70s, not much in the way of rain as we only recorded .02″ in a late evening shower, the flooding rains were mainly confined to extreme southern New Jersey.

A cold front is moving through and already this morning the dew points have lowered in the more comfortable 60s, this lower humidity will continue through Monday but temperatures will still be quite warm. Tuesday into Wednesday humidity will start to rise a bit again along with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Nice on Thursday but another front will cause more showers on Friday. Next weekend looks very pleasant.

The forecast: Today, partly cloudy, less humid with a high in the upper 80s.

Tonight, mostly clear with a low in the mid 60s. (good viewing of the Perseid meteor shower, best time between midnight and 5am)

Monday, partly sunny comfortably warm, high in the upper 80s.

Tuesday, partly sunny, bit more humid, chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, high upper 80s.

Wednesday, partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms mostly in the morning, high in the upper 80s.

Thursday, mostly sunny and pleasant, high mid 80s.

Friday, partly sunny with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the mid 80s.

Saturday and Sunday, clearing, less humid with a high only around 80.

Marine Forecast: Today, southwest wind becoming west around 10 knots, seas 4 feet.
