Warm and mainly dry forecast into the weekend. Isaac stays disorganized!


If you liked yesterdays weather you will like today’s as high pressure continues our warm and dry conditions. More clouds on Saturday with a very slight chance of a shower, Less clouds for Sunday. Best chance of showers next week look to fall around Tuesday as a cold front moves through, temperatures will be slightly above normal through the forecast period.

Meanwhile tropical storm Issac remains disorganized south of the Dominican Republic, the forecast track has Isaac moving across eastern Cuba and then off the southwest coast of Florida staying as a tropical storm. When in the Gulf of Mexico it is forecast to strengthen to a hurricane and move onshore near the Alabama and Florida border on Tuesday. Moisture from this storm at this point should not reach our area but that is a long way off..

The forecast: Today, mostly sunny with a high in the upper 80s.

Tonight, mostly cloudy, low in the upper 60s.

Saturday, mostly cloudy with only a slight chance of a afternoon shower, high low-mid 80s.

Sunday, mostly sunny, high mid 80s

Monday, partly sunny, high mid 80s.

Tuesday, mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high mid 80s.

Wednesday and Thursday, sunny, less humid, high low 80s.

Marine Forecast: Today, variable winds this morning becoming southeast less than 10 knots, seas 1 -2 feet.
Outlook: Sub-advisory level conditions through the middle part of next week, however swells may increase well out in the ocean waters early next week.
