As of 7am snow is tapering off and should end around 9am, 12 inches fell in the Clifton area but much more over parts of Long Island and Southern New England where over 30 inches were reported. We will have clearing today but it will be quite windy, highs will be near the freezing mark. Tonight will be frigid with lows around 12 degrees. On Sunday plenty of sunshine will raise temperatures into the mid 30s. A warm front will be coming through on Monday with precipitation falling mostly as rain but may start as a mix of snow and freezing rain early Monday morning, temperatures will rise into the 40s on Monday. Tuesday will be dry and mild with highs still in the 40s. Another low pressure is forecast to move offshore on Wednesday night and Thursday giving us only a slight chance of rain or snow. Sunny weather returns on Friday with mild temperatures in the 40s.

Marine Forecast: Gale warning through this afternoon – Northwest winds gusting to 40 knots, seas, up to 11 feet lowering by this afternoon.
Outlook – Seas and winds lowering to below advisory levels on Sunday but small craft advisories may be needed on Monday and again Wednesday night into Thursday.
