Cloudy and mild day, heavy showers and thunderstorms tonight, dry and cool weekend!


As we start the day it is cloudy with a little fog and drizzle but the temperatures are in the mild 50s.
During the day today overcast skies will persist with just maybe a little drizzle this morning and a couple of sprinkles this afternoon, it will be mild and humid with temperatures reaching the 70s.
A strong cold front will cause heavy showers and thunderstorms mostly between 8pm tonight and 2am tomorrow morning, about an inch of rain could fall during this time.
Clearing Saturday after early morning showers, it will breezy and cooler.
Sunny and cool weather on Sunday.
As we enter next week it will remain cool with shower chances increasing Tuesday through Thursday as a weak low pressure moves up the coast on Tuesday followed by another cold front later on Wednesday into Thursday..

The forecast: Today – Cloudy and mild, breezy, chance of drizzle this morning and sprinkles this afternoon, high in the low 70s.
Tonight – Showers and thunderstorms, most likely between 8pm-2am, low around 50.. Rain may be heavy at times.
Saturday – Chance of a shower till 9am then clearing, breezy and cooler, high in the low 60s.
Sunday – Sunny and cool, high in the mid 50s.
Monday – Partly sunny, still cool, high in the mid 50s.
Tuesday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the upper 50s.
Wednesday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the low 60s.
Thursday – Partly sunny, chance of showers, high near 60.

Marine Forecast: Small craft advisory till noon on Saturday – Today – South winds to 30 knots, seas building to 10 feet. Winds becoming westerly after frontal passage tonight.
Outlook: Conditions lowering below advisory levels later Saturday into Sunday, advisories then again may be needed for the weak coastal low on Monday into Tuesday.
