Heat wave to continue into the weekend!


Another warm start to the day as the low temperature in the Clifton area only dropped to around 70 degrees.
Today will be hot again with sunshine temperatures may even be a degree or two higher than yesterday reaching the mid 90s in some areas, thankfully humidity levels will not be too oppressive.
Another hot day on Saturday with lots of sunshine.
A cold front approaching will introduce a chance of showers and thunderstorms from late in the day on Sunday into Monday.
Cooler and less humid air will be enjoyed Tuesday through Thursday with near normal temperatures and plenty of sunshine..

First heatwave of the year for our area the next three days!


The overnight low in the Clifton area only dropped to 70 degrees and with sunshine today temperatures will rise into the low 90s with moderate humidity levels.
Hot weather will extend into the weekend with temperatures Friday and Saturday again in the low 90s.
The next chance of rain will be with a cold front that will be approaching our area on Sunday.
Showers and thunderstorms likely on Monday followed by cooler and drier air for next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Much warmer air moving in after this morning’s fog!


A warm front will be moving north of us this morning preceded by some dense fog and followed by a southwest flow of much warmer and humid air, with some partial sunshine temperatures will reach the middle 80s. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly between 3PM-9PM.
Thursday through Saturday we will have hot and humid conditions with temperatures reaching the low 90s
More clouds and a chance of showers on Sunday into Monday as a cold front approaches and crosses the area.
Cooler and less humid next Tuesday along with plenty of sunshine.

Showers and thunderstorms later today and tonight ahead of a warm front!


It is milder at daybreak than the last few mornings with temperatures in the low 50s in the Clifton area to some 40s inland…
Increasing cloudiness this morning as a warm front approaches our area, also showers will develop later this afternoon and continue into the early morning hours of Wednesday. With the clouds and showers high temperatures should remain below 70 degrees.
After the warm front moves through our area on Wednesday morning it will become warmer and more humid with temperatures reaching the mid 80s.
Very warm to hot weather from Thursday to at least Saturday with little or no rain, the humidity will also be on the high side.
A cold front will be approaching on Sunday or Monday with showers and thunderstorms possible followed by cooler and less humid air early next week.

Very pleasant weather for Memorial Day! Heat wave later this week and next weekend!


The temperatures in the Clifton area at daybreak are in the upper 40s but many areas inland temperatures have fallen into the 30s with frost.
After this chilly start temperatures will rebound quickly this morning as we will have plenty of sunshine and with much less wind than the last few days.
On Tuesday a warm front will be approaching that will cause increasing cloudiness and a few showers especially Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
After this warm front passes conditions will becoming warmer and more humid starting Wednesday.
Thursday through Sunday promised to be quite warm and humid with daytime temperatures approaching 90 degrees with little or no rain.

Not as chilly today as sunshine returns..


We are starting the day with near record low temperatures, at 6am in Clifton it has dropped down to 44 degrees tying the record low previously set in 1988.
Although we will still have some gusty winds especially this morning with sunshine the temperatures will be about 15 degrees warmer than yesterday but still a few degrees below normal.
Memorial Day will be an excellent day with high temperatures rebounding to near normal after a chilly start with less wind.
Another pleasant day on Tuesday.
A warm front moving through our area on Wednesday may give us a shower along with warmer temperatures and humidity.
Thursday through next Sunday will be very warm to hot with little or no rain.

Unseasonably cold and windy start to the holiday weekend! Better weather Sunday and on Memorial Day!


Yesterday a cold front came through around 9am lowering temperatures from an early morning high in the upper 60s to the 40s by later in the afternoon and along with gusty winds and rain it made it feel even colder.
This morning we still have rain and gusty winds, while the rain will mostly end by this afternoon we will still have gusty winds and high temperatures no higher than the 50s.
Sunshine returns tomorrow with more pleasant temperatures that will extend into Memorial Day.
As the week goes on we will have an increase in warmth and it may get quite toasty later this week into next weekend.

The forecast: Today – Rain showers, chilly and windy, gusts to 30 MPH, high only in the upper 50s.
Tonight – Chance of lingering showers then clearing, low in the low 40s.
Sunday – Mostly sunny and milder, high around 70.
Memorial Day – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 70s.

Much cooler with showers today: Holiday weekend to start cool with rain, better Sunday and on Memorial Day.


Yesterday we picked up about an inch of rain in the Clifton area but up to 4 inches were recorded in parts of Western Passaic and Morris county.
Today a cold front will be crossing the area, we will still have showers but rain amounts much less than yesterday, however it will be much cooler with a gusty northwest wind by this afternoon. Light rain will extend into the night.
Very dreary and chilly weather on Saturday with a gusty wind along with periods of light rain.
We should be clearing out on Sunday with a little milder temperatures.
Memorial Day will be pleasant with plenty of sunshine and highs closer to normal in the low 70s.
A warming trend starts Tuesday and last to at least next weekend with better beach weather. Guess this holiday weekend to start the summer season is coming a week too early.

This morning we have mostly cloudy skies and it is warm and muggy, temperatures only dropped to around 70 overnight.
Today we will have plenty of clouds with showers and thunderstorms developing some of these storms could have strong gusty winds and heavy rain especially this afternoon and tonight.
A cold front will reach the area Friday morning bringing with it cooler weather but showers will persist much of the day.
This cold front now is expected to slow down and be just off shore with a low pressure developing on the front so now we can expect showers to continue into much of Saturday and it will be chilly with high temperatures on Saturday barely reaching the 60 degree mark.
Hopefully this system moves enough offshore to end the shower threat on Sunday.
Memorial day will be the best day of the weekend with plenty of sunshine and milder temperatures.
A warming trend by the middle of next week and we could have very warm conditions again later next week and next weekend.

Another very warm and humid day today!


A weak back door cold front moved into our area with some cloudy skies and temperatures falling about 5 degrees between 5 and 6am falling from 69 to 64 degrees. This front is expected to return as a warm front later this morning and we should have a repeat of yesterday’s weather with very warm temperatures and rather high humidity, there is a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm but most areas will stay dry.
As a cold front approaches on Thursday showers and thunderstorms will become likely with some of these storms will be accompanied by strong winds and heavy rain.
This front should cross the area on Thursday night but rain will persist into Friday with cooler temperatures.
Some of the computer models have slowed the progression of the front which would extend the rain into Saturday morning but for now we will just forecast dry and cool conditions.
The rest of the holiday weekend will be dry but with cooler than normal temperatures..
