Very warm and humid weather the next several days!


The high pressure that gave us pleasant weather the last few days is moving offshore and a southwest flow of very warm and humid air will be with us starting today and lasting most of the week. Today Northern New Jersey will have mostly sunny skies but a weak disturbance will be giving more in the way of clouds across the Southern part of the state, high temperatures will reach the upper 80s.
Hot and humid Monday through Wednesday with most highs in the lower 90s and with this air mass there will be a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
Better chances of showers and thunderstorms Thursday into next weekend, temperatures may be a few degrees lower with the cloud cover but the humidity will remain on the high side.

The forecast: Today – Sunny, high in the upper 80s.
Tonight – Mostly cloudy, low around 70.
Monday – Partly sunny with a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, high in the low 90s.
Tuesday – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 90s.
Wednesday – Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 90s.
Thursday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.
Friday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the mid-upper 80s.
Saturday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the upper 80s.

Marine Forecast: Today – Southwest wind becoming south around 12 knots, seas up to 2 feet.
Outlook – Below advisory level condition through most of the upcoming week.
