Overnight temperatures only fell to the mid-upper 70s in the Clifton area setting the stage for another very hot and humid day, temperatures may reach the upper 90s with a heat index of up to 105 degrees.
There is a better chance today of late afternoon and evening thunderstorms that could produce heavy rain, gusty winds and frequent cloud to ground lightning.
Better chance of showers and thunderstorms on Monday and with more cloudiness most areas will fail to reach the 90 degree mark, humidity levels will be lower than the last few days also.
Still rather warm Tuesday through Friday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms each day.
Some temporary relief as we head into next weekend but looking at the computer models heat and humidity may return for next week.
