Muggy with showers today and Tuesday!


We finally got rid of the oppressive heat of last week but humidity is still on the high side. At daybreak this morning we have mostly cloudy to cloudy skies with temperatures in the low 70s.
With a cold front just to our south showers and thunderstorms will become likely by this afternoon and continue into Tuesday. High temperatures will be in the more reasonable 80s but humidity will remain on the high side.
Finally some less humid air for Wednesday and Thursday with continued near normal temperatures.
Some unsettled weather Friday into next weekend, high temperatures will be mainly in the 80s.
The long range computer models show no sign of the high heat returning through early August.

The forecast: Today – Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms becoming likely, high in the mid 80s.
Tonight – Showers and thunderstorms likely, low in the low 70s.
Tuesday – Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely, high in the mid-upper 80s.
Wednesday – Partly sunny, less humid, high in the mid-upper 80s.
Thursday – Mostly sunny, high in the low 80s.
Friday – Partly sunny with a chance of showers, high in the mid 80s.
Saturday – Partly sunny, high in the mid 80s.
Sunday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 80s.

Marine Forecast: Today – East wind becoming southeast at 8 knots, seas up to 3 feet.
Outlook – Conditions are anticipated to stay below advisory conditions through Friday!
