At 6am this morning we have cloudy and foggy conditions with some drizzle around, it is mild for this time of year with overnight lows in the mid 60s.
A front will stay just to our south today with an onshore flow of humid air, some sunshine should break through this afternoon with high temperatures in our area in the mid 70s but south of the front across Southern New Jersey readings will be in the mid 80s.
On Monday a cold front will be approaching from the west with showers and some thunderstorms likely by the afternoon and extend into the evening, some moisture my also come up from Karen that has been downgraded to a tropical depression. We can pick up 1-2 inches of much needed rain.
The front will be offshore on Tuesday with clearing, cooler and much less humid air.
Dry weather should extend from Wednesday into next weekend as high pressure builds down from the New England region, temperatures will be near or slightly above normal for this time of year.

Outlook – Small craft advisory has been posted for Monday and Monday night, advisories may be extended most of this upcoming week as the pressure gradient between high pressure over New England and low pressure off the southeast coast tightens.

With mostly cloudy skies temperatures overnight only fell to the low 60s, there were some showers in our area that have moved offshore.
We will not be as warm as the record breaking heat we had on Friday but still be well above normal for early October with high both today and Sunday reaching the 80 degree mark, it will remain humid with a light onshore wind. Most areas will remain dry.
Significant rain is still in the forecast for early next week as a cold front will be approaching from the west along with moisture from what will be left of Tropical Storm Karen. Most of the rain will fall from Monday night into Tuesday, 1-2 inches of much needed rain should fall with some higher amounts, it will remain quite mild and humid.
After the front passes by we should have clearing from Wednesday through Friday with more seasonable October temperatures.

With mostly cloudy skies temperatures this morning are in the low 60s in the Clifton area with 50s inland.
A warm front moving into the area will cause considerable cloudiness with some afternoon showers likely, it will be warm with highs in the low 80s.
At this point the weekend looks to be dry but it will remain mostly cloudy, most high temperatures will be in the upper 70s which is nearly 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.
Some more significant and beneficial rains are likely Monday into Tuesday morning as a cold front approaches from the west and some moisture from the remains of Tropical Storm Karen move into the area from the gulf states.
Clearing later Tuesday and it should remain dry through the rest of the week with temperatures a little cooler but still slightly above normal..

With mostly clear skies temperatures early this morning are around 60 in the Clifton area to near 50 further inland.
Today we will have mostly sunny skies once again, temperatures will be a couple of degrees lower than the 84 degrees that was recorded yesterday.
On Friday a weak warm front will be moving into the area increasing the cloud cover along with a chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm, high temperatures will be around 80 along with higher humidity.
At this time the weekend will be warm and rather humid but it should stay rain free.
A more significant rain maker may occur on Monday and Tuesday as a cold front approaches from the west along with tropical moisture from the soon to be named tropical storm Karen that will be moving north from the Gulf of Mexico.
Clearing with continued above normal temperatures Wednesday which should last the rest of next week.

Under clear skies and light winds temperatures in the Clifton area fell to around 60 degrees early this morning, however inland areas are much cooler with even some 40s reported.
As the sun comes up this morning temperatures will quickly rise reaching the mid 80s by this afternoon and may break the record high for October 2nd in Clifton of 84 degrees set back in 2002.
Thursday may be a couple of degrees lower but still well above normal for this time of year.
On Friday a weak front in our area may set off a shower or thunderstorm, it will also become more humid.
Warm and humid weather for this upcoming weekend but we should stay dry.
The next chance of significant rain will be Monday into Tuesday as a slow moving front moves in from the west along with a possible tropical system (Karen?) that will be moving north from the Gulf of Mexico.
Above normal temperatures should continue most of next week.
