Mild weather to continue through the weekend, can we hit 70 degrees on Sunday?


With mainly cloudy skies temperatures this morning are in the mid 30s in the Clifton area with upper 20s reported inland, much milder than the last several mornings.

Today we will have a rather nice day with nice day with partly sunny skies and highs around the 50 degree mark.

Mostly cloudy on Saturday and unseasonably mild temperatures as winter arrives shortly after noon tomorrow, most areas will remain dry with only a slight chance of sprinkles in the afternoon and evening.

Record high temperatures are possible on Sunday despite cloudy skies with highs reaching close to the 70 degree mark which is the normal high temperature for the middle of May! There will be a chance of showers throughout the day.

A cold front will cross the area on Monday, still highs in the 50s with morning showers, colder at night.

Tuesday will be much colder but not as harsh as we have had the last several days.

Christmas will be dry and seasonably cold with highs in the mid 30s.

Little milder on Thursday.

Tonight – Mostly cloudy, low around 40.

Saturday – Mostly cloudy, high in the mid 50s.

Sunday – Cloudy with a chance of showers, high in the upper 60s.

Monday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of morning showers, high in the mid 50s.

Tuesday – Mostly sunny and colder, high in the mid 30s.

Christmas Day – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 30s.

Thursday – Mostly sunny, high in the low 40s.

 

Marine forecast: Small craft advisory in effect through Saturday afternoon. Today – Southwest winds to 20 knots, seas 4-6 feet.

Outlook – Advisories likely will be needed through the weekend into early next week.
