Winter has returned! Possible coating of snow tonight!


Temperatures this morning have dipped to the low 30s in the Clifton area to some 20s further inland which is about 25 degrees colder than this time yesterday but still above normal for this time of year.

Today we will have mostly cloudy skies with near normal high temperatures of 40 degrees.

Another cold front will be coming through this evening accompanied by some snow showers, some areas may get a coating of the white stuff to get in the mood for Christmas. Temperatures will drop to the teens by Christmas morning.

Christmas Day will be cold with highs only reaching the 30 degree mark, it will be dry, winds will be gusty in the morning and then diminish as the day goes on.

Somewhat milder Thursday through Sunday and we should stay dry.

Much colder weather next week with a possible storm around Jan 3rd.

 

The forecast: Today – Mostly cloudy, high around 40.

Tonight – Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers before 10PM, then clearing windy and colder, low in the upper teens.

Christmas – Mostly cloudy, high only around 30.

Thursday – Partly sunny, high near 40.

Friday – Mostly sunny, high near 40

Saturday – Mostly sunny, high in the low 40s.

Sunday – Partly sunny, high in the upper 40s.

Monday – Partly sunny, high in the upper 30s.

 

Marine Forecast: Small craft advisory in effect till 6AM on Wednesday for northwest wind gusting to 30 knots, seas 3-5 feet.

Outlook – Quiet conditions on the ocean Wednesday though Saturday, advisories may be needed on Sunday!
