Winter weather returns on Monday and temperatures will feel more like mid February.

The last test of the winter shower curtain removal on Tuesday as we have another snowstorm possible, too early for details but at this time there is a good chance of snow, however since the curtain was removed the last four or five storm did not affect our area, missing north, south and east so I will go with the curtain model and say this one will miss us also.

Cold St. Patrick’s Day but no snow!

Today will be much colder than the 50s we had yesterday, skies will start off clear with increasing cloudiness this afternoon, temperatures will only rise to the mid 30s, well below normal for this time of year.

The storm system that we have been following looks like it will miss us to our south as a strong high pressure (or is it the shower curtain) will prevent most if not all the precipitation to remain just to our south, while Southern New Jersey may pick up a couple inches of snow we will be lucky to have a couple of flurries, temperatures will remain well below normal.

Clearing and not quite as cold on Tuesday.

A cold front will be crossing the area later in the day bringing back colder weather for Sunday with highs about 15 degrees colder than they will be today.

Most of the computer models have shifted south for the potential snow on St. Patricks Day so the risk of significant snow is lower although we may pick up an inch or two in Northern New Jersey with a little more across the southern part of the state.  Temperatures on Monday will be well below normal.

We may have some light showers early Saturday morning then clearing and even milder as readings will top off in the 50s.

Colder on Sunday with increasing cloudiness during the day and with snow likely later on Sunday night.

The shower curtain will be put to another test on St. Patrick’s Day as the latest computer models are indicating that precipitation will be more north than indicated yesterday and it will be cold enough to have snow with significant accumulations.

A cold front will move through on Saturday night with much cooler air returning for Sunday.
