Flash flood watch for heavy rain today! Very pleasant weekend in store for our area!


At daybreak this morning skies are cloudy, temperatures are in the low 60s and the humidity is quite high with some fog in the area.

The main area of rain is now moving into western areas of New Jersey and will slowly move eastward with rain should start in the Clifton area around 9am.  Rain will fall heavy at times into this evening before ending shortly after midnight, expect 1-2 inches of rainfall, a flash flood watch is in effect.

We dry out for the weekend and it will be a nice spring weekend with lower humidity, plenty of sunshine and high temperatures near normal.

Pleasant weather will continue into the middle part of next week with plenty of sunshine except for some afternoon cloudiness, temperatures will continue to be seasonably mild.

Next chance of showers will be Wednesday night into Thursday.

Humid with some showers today; Rain heavy at times on Friday; Weekend looks good!


We have had some heavy showers move into the Clifton area early this morning with lighter showers to our west, temperatures are in the upper 50s.

Today will be a cloudy and humid day, most of the showers will be this morning and we should have a dry afternoon and evening.

Showers will move into the area before daybreak on Friday and continue heavy at times through most of the day and evening, we could pick up around 2 inches of rainfall.

Showers should end before dawn on Saturday and we will have a nice spring weekend with plenty of sunshine and seasonably mild temperatures.

As we head into next week we will still have seasonable temperatures, there is a risk of an afternoon shower both on Monday and Tuesday but most areas will remain dry.

Friday – Showers with a chance of thunderstorms at night, high near 70.

We have cloudy skies at daybreak with most temperatures in the area are around the 50 degree mark.

Today clouds will persist most of the day but we should remain rainfree, with the clouds and onshore wind temperatures will only rise to the upper 60s.

Thursday will be warmer and more humid, there is a risk of  some drizzle and fog in the morning and an afternoon shower but most of the time it will remain dry.

Heavy rain is likely on Friday and we may pick up a couple of inches.

At this point the weekend looks dry with pleasant springtime temperatures.

Seasonable temperatures early next week with a risk of a light shower Monday afternoon.

At daybreak this morning we have partly cloudy skies and temperatures are in the very mild low 60s.

A back door cold front will be moving south of our area this morning, temperatures will not rise much from the early morning readings with highs in the upper 60s, skies will be mostly cloudy and we should remain dry.

Cloudy and cool weather for Wednesday with a chance of some light showers.

Warmer and more humid on Thursday with still a chance of showers.

Heavy rain is likely Friday into Saturday morning with a possible of a couple of inches falling.

Clearing with seasonable temperatures later on Saturday into Sunday.

Another very warm day; Much cooler on Tuesday; Heavy rain possible Friday!


Skies are mostly clear in the Clifton area and temperatures are in the upper 50s.

Today will be warm again and a little more humid than on Sunday, highs will be well up into the 80s, very summerlike.

A cold front will be coming in from the north Tuesday morning, our highs may be recorded early in the morning and then fall to the low 60s in the afternoon, there is a chance of a light shower with this front but most of the day will be dry.

It will remain cool with some light showers possible on Wednesday.

Somewhat warmer on Thursday but still with showers possible.

It now appears a slow moving system may give us some heavy rain on Friday into early Saturday, it is possible that we may receive a few inches of rainfall during this time frame.

Hopefully we dry out later Saturday into Sunday with seasonably mild temperatures.
