Flash flooding along with severe thunderstorms possible today into Wednesday morning!

Skies are mostly cloudy at daybreak this morning, temperatures are around 70, winds are light and the humidity is high.

The rain late last night and early this morning totalled .60″, falling from around 11:30pm last night till 2:00am this morning.  Although it was mostly cloudy yesterday and after a mostly sunny Saturday I guess we can say we had the sixth straight nice weather weekend.

After a break in the rain this morning, showers and thunderstorms will redevelop this afternoon and continue into this evening, there is a chance of torrential downpours along with severe thunderstorms that can produce damaging winds.  A flash flood watch is effect from Monday afternoon into Wednesday morning.

Thunderstorms will continue at times tomorrow into tomorrow night with more torrential downpours possible, the threat of severe weather will be lower than today but we still can’t rule out some strong storms with damaging wind gusts.

A cold front will cross the area early Wednesday morning with showers lingering till around noon time followed by cooler and drier air by the afternoon.

Pleasant weather Thursday and Friday with dry conditions and slightly below normal temperatures.

Shower chances exist for next weekend so we may not continue our streak of nice weather weekends.
