Another beautiful summer weekend!


We have clear skies at daybreak this morning and temperatures range from the low 60s in the Clifton area to the 50s further inland, humidity is low and the winds are light.

Both today and Sunday will feature plenty of sunshine and continued low humidity, temperatures will be warm reaching the upper 80s both days, perfect for most outside festivities.

This nice weather will continue on Monday with only a slight increase in humidity.

A frontal system approaching from the west should give us some rain from Tuesday night into Wednesday with an inch or two amounts possible.

Pleasant weather will return for the end of the week with seasonably cool temperatures and low humidity.

Gorgeous weather to continue through the weekend!


Skies are partly cloudy at dawn this morning and we have cool temperatures once again with readings near 60 here in Clifton ranging to some 40s well inland, winds are light.

Today will be another perfect weather day with plenty of sunshine, low humidity and temperatures reaching into the middle 80s.

This nice weather will continue into the weekend with cool nights and warm days along with rather low humidity.

Monday will be more of the same but with slightly higher humidity.

The next chance of rain will be Tuesday night into Wednesday as a cold front approaches the area.

High pressure will again build into the area on Thursday with a return to dry and comfortable weather.

Nearly perfect weather through the weekend!


We have clear skies at daybreak this morning with cooler temperatures than the last few mornings ranging from around 60 in the Clifton area to the 50s further inland.

Yesterday no rain fell in the Clifton area but late yesterday afternoon a small but powerful thunderstorm crossed through Ulster County causing wind damage along with hail.  Hey Curt, how was it up by you in Highland?

Today through the weekend will feature as perfect weather as you can get with plenty of sunshine with warm daytime temperatures and cool and comfortable nights, humidity will be nice and low with dew points only in the 50s.

The next chance of showers will be around Tuesday, humidity may climb a bit but not be oppressive.

Still no signs of any extended periods of heat through the third week of August.

A little cooler with a chance of afternoon and evening showers! Great weather Thursday through the weekend!


Skies are mostly cloudy at dawn this morning and temperatures are in the upper 60s with moderate humidity.

A cold front has dropped to our south this morning with somewhat cooler and less humid air building in behind the front.  An upper level disturbance will cause considerable cloudiness today along with a chance of afternoon and early evening showers and thunderstorms, no widespread rain is expected and most areas will remain dry.  Humidity levels will decrease with dew points falling to the comfortable 50s.

Outstanding weather Thursday through the weekend as high pressure moves in, during the day we will have plenty of sunshine with seasonably warm temperatures and dew points continuing in the very comfortable 50s.

At the beginning of next week we will see a slight increase of humidity levels but nothing too oppressive, also we may have a shower late Monday and Tuesday as another cold front approaches from the west.

At daybreak this morning we have mostly clear skies and temperatures are in the mid to upper 60s.

Today we will have plenty of sunshine and it will be the warmest day of the week with some spots touching the 90 degree mark, humidity will not be too bad with dew points in the 60s.

A cold front will be crossing the area on Wednesday morning with some showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon.

More  pleasant weather Thursday through most of the weekend with comfortably warm temperatures, low humidity and plenty of sunshine.

Another disturbance may give us showers late at night on Sunday into early Monday!

Warmer weather to start the workweek!


We have mostly cloudy skies early this morning with most temperatures are in the mid-upper 60s, winds are light and it is somewhat muggy.

Today skies will becoming mostly sunny later this morning and temperatures will rise a few degrees higher than this weekend, there is an outside chance of an afternoon shower mainly inland but most of the area will remain dry.

Even a little warmer on Tuesday and some places may hit the 90 degree mark, there will be plenty of sunshine and again can’t rule out a scattered shower inland, humidity will be moderate.

A cold front will be crossing the area on Wednesday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Another Canadian high pressure will build behind the front and we will have very pleasant weather Thursday through the weekend.

Morning rain will give way to clearing this afternoon!


Light rain is falling at daybreak this morning with temperatures in the mid 60s, winds are light.

Just like yesterday we will have rain in the morning followed by some breaks in the clouds this afternoon, temperatures will remain below normal mostly just under the 80 degree mark.

Warmer weather as we start off the workweek with temperatures more normal for this time of year, we should enjoy plenty of sunshine Monday and Tuesday with only a slight chance of an afternoon shower both days over inland areas.

A cold front will cross the area on Wednesday with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Pleasant weather to end the week with plenty of sunshine and comfortable humidity levels.

Still no signs of any heat waves as this summer’s comfortable weather continues.  Temperatures have been very close to normal this summer but seems cool compared to the very hot summers of the last four years.

Rainy start to the weekend!


Rain is falling at daybreak this morning, temperatures are in the mid 60s in the Clifton area.

Yesterday afternoon we received only .12 inches of rainfall while Allendale in Bergen County picked up nearly 5 inches causing flash flooding.

The area of rain that is falling now should end by early this afternoon and it should remain dry through this evening, temperatures will only reach the 70s due to clouds and rain.

Another area of showers may affect our region after midnight tonight which should by daybreak on Sunday.

After the early morning rain on Sunday we should be dry with some sunshine breaking through the clouds, temperatures should be a couple of degrees warmer than today but still be below normal.

Most of next week looks to be dry with more normal temperatures and humidity for early August.

Chance of showers for the first few days of August!


We have partly cloudy skies at daybreak and temperatures and humidity levels are a little higher than the last couple of mornings, temperatures range from the mid 60s in the Clifton area to around 60 inland, winds are light.

Today we will have partly sunny skies with a chance of afternoon and evening showers, the best chance of rain will be over inland areas to the north and west.

Unsettled weather for the weekend with considerable cloudiness and a good chance of showers both days, at this point it is hard to pinpoint when and where the rain if it occurs will fall, temperatures will be below average.

Still a chance of showers on Monday then the rest of the upcoming week should be dry with warmer temperatures.

July 2014 averaged only a little cooler than normal but most people thought it was quite chilly since the last four Julys were quite hot.  Precipitation averaged above normal with most of the rain in the first half of the month.
