Quite warm for the last weekend in September!

Skies are mostly clear at daybreak this morning with temperatures ranging from the mid 50s in the Clifton area to some upper 40s in the normally cooler areas inland, winds are light.

A gorgeous weekend is on tap for our area with warm temperatures both days along with plenty of sunshine and low humidity.

The warm weather will continue into Monday but we should have an increase in clouds as a cold front approaches from the north.

Very low confidence in the forecast for the middle of next week as another coastal low is expected to develop, the computer models are much different of what will occur with the European model indicating heavy rain for the area with over 5 inches possible while the American model has the area mainly dry with less than a tenth of an inch of rain, at this point we will just show a chance of some rain Tuesday and Wednesday.  Temperatures will be cooler but how cool it will be is still in question.

THE FORECAST:

TODAY – Sunny, high in the low 80s.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low in the upper 50s.

SUNDAY – Sunny, high in the low 80s.

MONDAY – Partly sunny, high near 80.

TUESDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high in the low 70s.

WEDNESDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, high near 70.

FRIDAY – Mostly sunny, high near 70.

MARINE FORECAST:  TODAY – North wind to 8 knots, seas 2-3 feet.

Have a good day!

Hope it’s more toward the euro model … no rain up here for a long time – even the swamp areas are drying up…
Hope Joan is doing OK … pls give our love to her… C.

Curt the latest American model still has it dry, the European doesn’t come in for another hour or so. We do need the rain, if we don’t get any by Tuesday it will make it the driest September since I started records 41 years ago.
Longer range at this time still looks dry and rather mild.
