Cloudy and moist weather to continue today! Better on Friday! Rain on Saturday!


Cloudy again early this morning with most temperatures in the area are in the upper 50s, humidity remains high and the winds are light.

Another mainly cloudy and humid day is on tap today, we may have more breaks in the clouds especially inland late in the day, temperatures will be a little higher than on Wednesday rising to near 70, if more breaks occur temperatures may rise into the low 70s.

Clearing and cool tonight and Friday will be mostly sunny and pleasant.

A cold front will cross the area on Saturday with well needed rain,  amounts will range from around 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch.  The rain may persist into the evening followed by clearing and cooler weather later at night.

A quite cool and breezy Sunday and despite sunshine temperatures will only rise to the low to mid 60s and with the wind it will feel even cooler.

Sunshine on Monday with milder temperatures.

A weak disturbance moving in from the west give us a chance of light rain on Tuesday followed by partly sunny skies on Wednesday, temperatures will be slightly above normal.

TODAY – Mostly cloudy, high near 70.

TONIGHT – Mostly clear, low in the low 50s.

FRIDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the low 70s.

SATURDAY – Rain, high in the upper 60s.

SUNDAY – Sunny and breezy, high in the mid 60s.

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the low 70s.

TUESDAY – Mostly cloudy with a chance of light rain, high in the low 70s.

WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny, high in the low 70s.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  Small craft advisory in effect till 6pm on Friday for hazardous seas.  Winds northeast 10-20 knots, seas 4-7 feet.

OUTLOOK – Advisories likely through Sunday morning.

 

CLIMATE – September 2014 ended up just under 2 degrees above normal,  only 1.17″ of rain fell during the month making this the driest September since I started my records in 1973.
