Skies are partly cloudy in the area this morning, temperatures are about seven degrees warmer than this time yesterday and winds are light.

Today will not be as cold as the last two days as temperatures reach the low 40s which is still well below normal for this time of year and with winds gusting to 25 mph it will make it feel chilly despite plenty of sunshine.

Another surge of cold air will brisk winds tonight and Friday,  high temperatures on Friday will again fail to get out of the 30s.

After a chilly Saturday morning it will become slightly milder in the afternoon with sunshine.

Finally milder on Sunday with rain likely at night.

Even warmer on Monday with a chance of showers mainly in the morning, temperatures will rise well up into the 60s which will make it feel comfortable after the frigid weather this week.

A cold front will move across the area on Tuesday, it will still be mild.

Seasonably cool and dry weather expected Wednesday and on Thanksgiving.

Many record low temperature across our area this morning, here in Clifton we have a reading of 18 degrees which is a record for the date, the coldest reading in the state now is 11 degrees at High Point.  Winds here are lighter but still blowing from the west around 10 mph, wind chills are in the single digits, skies are clear.

Today will be very cold again but with diminishing winds, high temperatures will have a hard time reaching the freezing mark.

Tonight will not be as cold with readings about 10 degrees higher than this morning.

A bit milder on Thursday but temperatures still about 10 degrees below normal.

A reinforcing surge of colder air again for Friday and Saturday, temperatures will not be as frigid as our last two days but still be about 15 degrees below normal for this time of year.

Finally warmer air will move in for Sunday and even warmer air on Monday, high temperatures on Monday may be around 30 degrees higher than what will be recorded on Friday.  The next chance of precipitation is from late Sunday into early Tuesday.

Thanksgiving at this time appears to be dry with slightly below normal temperatures.

Temperatures are rapidly falling early this morning as temperatures have fallen from the low 40s at midnight to the mid 20s at 6am, winds gusting to 30 mph have dropped wind chills into the teens, skies are mostly clear.

Don’t expect temperatures to rise much today despite sunshine, winds will continue to gust to 30 mph or more and wind chills will be in the teens, even most days in January are not as cold as what we will experience today.

Tonight we will see many record low temperatures in the area with slowly diminishing winds.

Still unseasonably cold on Wednesday but will much lighter winds.

Not as cold but still below normal temperatures on Thursday but another cold front will give us a reinforced bout of cold weather for Friday and Saturday but not as harsh as today and tomorrow’s weather but temperatures will still be well below normal.  The only positive with this upcoming cold few days that we will remain dry and no snow is expected.

Finally milder on Sunday into early next week but with the mild air there will be a chance of showers.

We have rain over the region early this morning with temperatures mainly in the upper 30s, winds are light.  The only sub-freezing temperature currently in the state is 30 degrees at High Point so that is the only area that may have some winter type precipitation.

Rain will continue most of the day, there may be a brief break in the rain around midday into the early afternoon but rain will return for this evening’s rush. The rain will end this evening. Temperatures will be milder reaching the 50s.

Much colder weather will follow the storm system, our high temperature may be recorded just after midnight and not rise during the day staying in the 30s, winds gusting to 30 mph on Tuesday will make it feel much colder despite plenty of sunshine.

Near record cold early Wednesday morning as most areas will drop into the teens.

Still quite cold on Wednesday but with diminishing winds, dry weather will continue.

Not as cold on Thursday but another cold front will cross the area in the afternoon.

The front will be followed by a reinforcing surge of cold air for Friday and Saturday but the cold won’t be as harsh as the middle of this week.  Luckily it will remain dry and no snow is anticipated.

Milder weather on Sunday with a chance of showers late in the day.

Early next week looks quite mild but with chances of rain.

Skies have become mostly cloudy to cloudy across the area early this morning, temperatures are mainly in the upper 20s and winds are light.

Today we will have considerable cloudiness, a light southwest flow will raise high temperatures about five degrees from yesterday’s highs, still below normal for this time of year.

A low pressure system will give us rain in the Clifton area from late tonight till early Tuesday morning,  the precipitation may start off as a mix of snow and freezing rain across extreme Northwest New Jersey and the Poconos where a winter weather advisory is in effect.  Rainfall amounts should be near one inch, milder air should move into the area with highs in the 50s.

Much colder and windy behind the front on Tuesday with a chance of snow flurries especially inland, wind gusts to 35 mph will make high temperatures in the 30s feel that much colder.  At night expect the coldest readings of the season with lows near 20 with some teens inland.

Dry weather can be expected from Wednesday through Saturday.  Temperatures will be well below normal through the period moderating to near normal by next Sunday.
