We have mostly clear skies early this morning and temperatures have fallen to the low 20s in the Clifton area to the teens further inland, winds are light.

Our cold and dry weather will continue today, temperatures will be chilly only reaching the freezing mark despite plenty of sunshine.

Tonight at midnight we will have clear skies and temperatures around the 20 degree mark, winds will be a little brisk dropping wind chills down to the lower teens.

New Year’s Day will be sunny but with a brisk wind and temperatures only in the 30s.

A little milder with partly sunny skies on Friday.

A storm system will be moving into the area on the weekend, precipitation may start as early as Saturday afternoon in the form of light snow then change to rain Saturday night, inland may pick up an inch or two of snow before the change over.

Sunday will be quite mild with rain continuing.

Colder again next week with a chance of snow during the mid-week period.

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, high in the mid 30s.

TUESDAY – Partly sunny, high in the mid 30s, chance of snow at night.

 

MARINE FORECAST:  Small craft advisory in effect from 1pm today till 6pm on Thursday for west winds gusting to 30 knots, seas 2-4 feet.

OUTLOOK – No advisories expected Friday into the day Saturday with small craft advisories likely Saturday night into Sunday.
